So, has anyone read the first book in the Codebearers series, Hunter Brown and the Secret of the Shadow? I thought it was very good, esp. for the authors’ first book.
Also, the authors have a really cool code and puzzle solving game on their website, kinda like Myst or Riven.
The authors contacted Incredibooks awhile back and asked if we wanted a review copy, but when we said yes we never heard back. Guess we’ll have to see if we can get ahold of a copy.
(You’re not a Myst fan, are you? )
I tried reading it online, but never finished. I thought it was kind of corny.
Just a random fact: Book 1 came out 8/8/08, and I just saw that book 2 will come out on 9/9/09. I thought that was weird.
Jordan: No, I’ve never played Myst.
C Triebold: That’s cool! I never noticed the release dates.

Ah, okay. It’s strange to find somebody who’s heard of the sequel who hasn’t played it…
I heard of them a while back, but was rather deterred on hearing something about there being romance in it. Otherwise, it looked fairly interesting, though I’m not real huge into animated covers. (I know, there I go judging a book by its cover…)
I’m not usually into animated covers either, but I like their style of animation. And I guess you could say there’s romance, if you mean that there is a boy and a girl and they work together. I really wouldn’t call it romance, though.
I may have to look into it again, then. I like the quote in your signature.
