Oh, I read The Princess Bride a week or so ago! 'Twas interesting.

I may be reading the next book in the Swallows and Amazons series next--we'll have to see.

I'm reading Winter Holiday by Arthur Ransome and wishing that if winter must happen, it could happen like this book!

In my absence I devoured a grand total somewhere up in the double digits, but the recent highlights are currently the third book in a homeschooling series by Charlotte Mason, the last beautiful sentences to "Les Miserables", and "The Oxford Book of Villains" which has proved itself to be...exceedingly disturbing. I have to start "The Scarlet Letter" this afternoon for school, which shall be lovely.

The aforementioned "...Book of Villains" prevailed in its disturbing-ness till the last word! The library had a companion book of Gothic tales, but now I'm not sure I should chance it...
"The Scarlet Letter" was absolutely beautiful. More people should be hailing it as one of greatest literary works out there!
Started reading aloud "The Hound of the Baskervilles" and was quickly reminded what an extensive vocabulary Doyle had. Either that or he wrote his books with a dictionary sitting right beside him.
