Today is the beginning of Read-a-Thon 2011! If you signed up to participate, you can start posting the books you’ve read in this thread now. Of course, if you’re participating on Holy Worlds, you can go over there and post your page counts, too.
It’s that time again! The Incredibooks Summer Read-a-Thon is back for its fourth year. This time, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think about a few things as we plan for the Read-a-Thon. So hop on over to our Read-a-Thon survey and fill it out. It’s short and won’t take you more than a few minutes. The survey will be open for a week and will close on March 19th.
Once you’ve finished that, you’ll want to check out the Read-a-Thon site. Be sure to sign up to be notified when registration is open!
We’re also looking for people to sponsor the Read-a-Thon this year. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor an event that promotes literacy, please go to our sponsorship information page.
On your mark, get set, go! The Read-a-Thon has begun. Head over to the Read-a-Thon thread to see what’s up.
If you’re seeing this and you’re not registered yet, don’t worry. You have until June 7th to sign up. That’s not too long, so you’ll probably want to go now!
Some of our favorite authors have once again agreed to donate their books as prizes. Be sure to check out the prizes page to see the whole list.
By the way, a little bird told me that there may be more later… Keep checking back!
How do I join?
First, you’ll need to be a member of the Incredibooks Discussion Forum, so head over there and join if you’re not a member. Then head over to the sign-up page and fill out the registration form. We’ll get back to you soon to confirm your registration.
What can I do to promote the Read-a-Thon?
Glad you asked! We have a page with banners that you can put wherever you can upload ’em. Grab one you like and spread the word!
“'Don't bother the little boy, Marleen,' said the little girl's mother in the kind of weak, uncertain way that no self-respecting child pays any attention to.” -- Elizabeth Enright,
