Member1.) Always carry a book in your bag or back pocket(this only works if you either have very large pockets or a very small book!) so you can pull it out whenever you have a second.

MemberI might not be much help with this, because I have TOO MUCH time on my hands.

MemberHa. How I wish I had that problem!
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing–carry a book around to read snatches of whenever you have a few spare moments.
2. Spend less time on the computer (an excellent piece of advice, and one I never listen to)
3. Get your teacher/parent/guardian to assign you books for schoolwork/extra credit/whatever.
4. Remember that the tiresome Get Eight Hours of Sleep Every Night principle is entirely relative, and any book of particular quality has the authorisation to override it.

MemberHear, hear to Aly!!!

Take a book along wherever you go.
Multitask! (ugh…) Read a book and do something else at the same time!
Have several books going at the same time and/or check out reviews so when you wanna read and you know what you feel like reading, you’ll have a book in mind. I juggle about ten books, only 6 of them active right now!
Totally Off-Topic: I now have 500 posts on this site!!!

MemberDon’t put off till tomorrow what you could read today.
No, nevermind, that’s not what I meant.
Do what you need to do now, procrastination is what eats away at liesurely reading time.
*hides from Alyosha’s #2*

MemberRefuse to do schoolwork… Oh no, please don’t take my advice!

MemberI definitely agree with Alyosha’s second one. I’ve been better about that recently though.

Read in the car! Always have a book with you on trips.

MemberI read in the car on long car trips, but not on things like trips to the store, etc. Besides, having five other people in the car makes it difficult to read through all the talking going on.

MemberWhen you’re riding with 2-13 other people, Jordan, you get used to it. Infact, you get really good at zoning out.

(Yes, I have more sibling then all of you. Ha! And I’m quite proud of it even though I have done nothing to help the process…)
Invent a way to read well washing the dishes.
Hide a book in every room of the house.
Ignore the third party presidential debate.

MemberReally, I can’t zone out when everything being discussed is interesting or possibly important to the schedule of the day… But I get what you’re saying.

MemberAlso if you get carsick that won’t work either. Thankfully I don’t get sick! Once I hula-hooped and read at the same time…but you get a little dizzy so be forewarned.

MemberNope, I’ve never gotten carsick. I’ve even entertained the idea of eating while reading in the car, but when I thought that, it was a library book, so I didn’t care to chance it.
