L. Frank Baum
Most people know The Wizard of Oz through the very famous movie, starring Judy Garland as Dorothy. However, not very many people know that, while the movie is great (it’s one of our favorites), the book is quite good, too. The movie changes several details, such as the ruby slippers, which are silver in the book. Also, there are fourteen books about Oz, written by L. Frank Baum, the royal historian of Oz.
