Alyosha
MemberHuzzah, hope you like City of Ember! (and that you can find it, Pip)
I’m halfway through rereading The Queen of Attolia, which happens to be due tomorrow (stupidly leaving things until the last minute and then racing through 270 pages all in one day is typical Alyosha). It’s even brillianter than last time and considerably more interesting.

MemberLoL, Alyosha. That sounds like me when I had Tears of a Dragon out and read it straight through on one car trip. I was so brain dead the next day!
And I should be starting City of Ember today.

MemberReading DragonQuest, though slowly. Love Toopka’s character.

MemberThat may be what messes up DragonSpell for me. Toopka being present for the rest (except one), and Regidor!!

MemberI’m done traveling for awhile, so I’ll be able to read more! Whoo-hoo!

MemberHush, Puppies is a cute little large print, 47-page book with a recipe in the back, that recounts how hush puppies were first made (the book, not the recipe).
Eagle of the Ninth finally completed! It didn’t grab my attention, so I’d be unconsciously reading and then suddenly find the character doing something for a change, and I wouldn’t know why they were doing it! Sutcliff’s adaptions of the Illiad (I’m also reading that and it’s Zzzzzz…..) and the Odyssey were actually pretty good.

Yup. Much enjoying it.

MemberJust about to start Renegade, by Ted Dekker. The first two in this series are some of the best books I’ve ever read. And this one looks way better. If you like creepy plots, creepy bad guys, and incredible suspense that will keep you up till three in the morning, read this series.

MemberYeeks! I don’t think I could take that. *shivers*
I’m working on The Rise of the Wyrm Lord for Read-a-thon purposes.

MemberWhat’s the Ted Dekker series?

MemberDragonFire. I don’t remember much about this one, since I only read it once before and that was about a year ago.
Anyways, I’m sure it will be most interesting.
I think…

MemberI don’t much like to reread books, as there’re so many books out there to discover! I just like having books to look back on choice parts, to fondle, and to brag about how many I’ve managed to cram into my room, which is now about 600!
June 27, 2008 at 11:51 pm #40628Rebekah
MemberWhoo! Good for you! Isn’t it great to have an enormous stash of books?
June 27, 2008 at 11:52 pm #40629Alassiel
MemberI should count how many books are in my room. It’s probably around that many. It’s really funny when people visit our house and say, “Wow, do you think you have enough books? Have you read all of them?”
My reply is something like, “No, I never have enough books, and I’ve read most of them.”
