Okay-dokey, who wants to swap books this summer?
Rules:
Each person pays their own shipping.
Discuss via PM (not in the thread).
Ask your parents’ permission to give out your address and NEVER do it in the thread – always via PM for better safety.
Swapping other things for books is all right; just make sure it’s a fair trade!
When you say each person pays own shipping do you mean to ship the book they want or are shipping?
I think that I will not have time to swap books this Summer because of my schedule. But it sounds really fun.
@DaughterofLight – It means that you pay for the shipping for the book you are mailing. In general this is how swapping works across all the forums I’ve swapped on; everyone is responsible for their own shipping costs.
does anyone know how much shipping a book usually costs?
Around $2.50, Media Mail, depending on the weight of the book.
ok, I need to finish reading the book that I am borrowing from a friend of mine. Does anyone have any Mary Higgins Clark books that I can borrow? (Is it a swap for keeps or borrowing?) (I started reading one of her books already.)
Swaps are usually for keeps though if you wanted to borrow books that’d be fine… I’d just think it’d be cheaper/easier to do it through your local library system. xD
If a book is under 13 ounces you can send it by first class package, which could be anywhere from $1.50 to 2.50. It’s really not expensive to ship books!
