Really? Expound. I read it forever ago and mostly remember being annoyed with her theology.
Yep, the theology was what got me. I was more saddened by the unknown state of Leslie’s soul than by the fact that she died. And then when Jess’s dad told him “God ain’t sending any little girls to Hell.” Eh, just not too good there.
But then again, I’ve heard things about Paterson being a Christian, in which case, I wonder if there was a hidden message for like-minded people there. Complicated little book, ain’t it?
