MemberI just got it yesterday in the mail. I’m almost done, but I’m busy today so I probably won’t finish until tonight or tomorrow.
I put the book on the shelf to see how it looked with the others, and it’s over a quarter inch shorter than the rest!!!! It looks stupid! What were the publishers thinking???
So, if you’ve read it already, what did you think? Keep it spoiler-free or write them in white, please. If you haven’t read it, when will you? Do you have any predictions or things you hope will happen?
I’ll post my thoughts once I finish.

MemberI finished!!! It was very good, Ms. Paul wraps things up pretty nicely. For anyone who’s read the book, here’s my thought’s in white. Highlight to read.
I figured out Kale was pregnant the second time she felt sick. I was so excited!!!! The whole mystery with Toopka was slightly odd. It’s hard to imagine that all this time, she has really been grown-up. Dar’s not really in love with her, is he? I’m so glad Bardon has that ointment to help with the stakes. I felt so bad when he was in pain. I’m glad we saw alot of old characters in this book. It was nice to have Regidor around, even if that meant we had to have Gilda too. I nearly had a fit every time she insulted everyone like manners didn’t matter. I was ready to kill her after she insulted Gymn when he had just healed her! I’m happy she lived and reformed, especially for Regidor’s sake. It was nice to see the mysteries of where the dragons and minnekens came form and the strange murals cleared up. Now that you’ve read all my long, rambling thoughts, what did you think?

MemberI’m not going to spoiler this, anyone who hasn’t read the books get shouldn’t be looking in this thread.
Don’t ya know.
I was excited for Kale and Bardon too, and Penn is such a cute name. Mrs. Paul handled the birth scene well, I think.
I felt really bad for Bardon too, poor man.
I still don’t like Gilda, ugh, she’s never been one of my favorite characters…same with Celisse.
I liked the deal with Toopka, is was very interesting and unique, ya know? The last mural (the one of the egg) never came true. Did it?

MemberI don’t know. Unless it was supposed to be Kale’s protector egg hatching?

MemberIt could be, ‘sept for the fact that light was pooring out of the egg in the mural, and Fly was blue and very unlight-like.
