Alright, so who has read these? I’m going to pick up Last of the Nephilim from the library today, and I’m really excited. Bryan Davis is one of those authors whose new releases always throw me into a state of ecstasy!

I’ve loved the series so far, although the last one seemed to be a departure from his usual stuff, considering that **SPOILER: In white, highlight it!** He actually killed off a good guy completely (or so it seems)!! *gasp*

Blecky! I tried to start the first in the series and didn’t find it worth my time!

My library will probably never buy it. Ah well…this is the third book right? Or the second? (of OoF)

Re. That Spoiler: Seriously? Wow…maybe there is hope after all ;)

    Yes, this is the third.

Pip, the first one is l-o-n-g, and you really have to have enjoyed the DIOM series.

Yes, Alyosha, he did it. I don’t know how, but he did it. **SPOILER highlight it!** Almost made me cry! I’m partially expecting a resurrection in book three, though.

Eye of the Oracle is large and sprawling, more like a history book than a novel with one plot, but it’s good if you like that sort of thing. Especially Sapphira. Go Sapphira.

@Jordan: Ugh, hope not. *sigh* Who was it? No, don’t tell me…don’t…wait…No, don’t. :P

edit–Scratch that, my library finally bought Enoch’s Ghost and Tears of a Dragon–maybe there is hope after all!

Hey, there’s been a lot of news since the last post. Bryan Davis has posted an update on his blog about the word count for Bones of Makaidos. He says that he’s over 83,000 words in, that Bones will probably be broken into two parts (as with Eye of the Oracle), and that he’s expecting part 1 to be 90,000 words with no idea if part 2 will be shorter, longer, or the same length. For a fan like me, that makes my heart leap!

BTW, Alyosha, regarding the last spoiler, no, he didn’t do it in book three.

Faster than this NaNo-er, definitely :P (Though not all of them…a couple are shooting for, what was it, 500K? One of those can type 4K an hour or something insane like that.)

    But wow, that is LONG.

Sarah, nip it!!! It’s just wot they’re inspired to do.

I did a thing last night where I wrote 1,000 words under twenty minutes. They said to shoot for ten, but I didn’t time myself.

Last night it took me until three in the morning to write four stinkin’ pages!!!

I don’t know who all gets the Bryan Davis newsletter, but in the latest one Bryan Davis links to a preview chapter of Bones of Makaidos, and says that he will be receiving a shipment on March 27th. He’ll fill pre-orders then.

    Anybody else excited?
