MemberIf anyone has read Percy Jackson and the Olympians : the Lightning Thief, the movie was much different from the book. For one, in the book the characters were 12, in the movie they’re like 16. For another in the book there was no Persephone. In the movie they also took out the Furies. The list goes on, but I’ll stop now because I’m giving away like a million spoilers. Overall the movie was still good, just its annoying that it differs from the book.

MemberI have read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, but it was some time ago, so I don’t remember too much about the first book. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I did hear that they made them 16 or something, which messes up the “when Percy turns 16” thing in the books. I also heard that Percy knows too much about how to do this and that with his water powers in the movie.

MemberI have seen the movie of Percy Jackson but I didn’t really because most of the time it was way to scary. Then my sister took the movie out from the library so then I had to stay out of the den because that’s where the computers are. Then my sister took the book out from the library.

MemberPersonally, this is just me, but whatever, I would read the book first (in a situation like this). Now if the movie came out first THEN the book, I want to see the movie first. I think the movie will be fine… after all, it is an adaptation of the book, like most movies from books are, so… yeah, it’ll be different from the book, but did you really expect them to follow the whole book word by word?

MemberI have watch the movie ,and it’s pretty good . Generally all movies are forced to cut out some of the novel due to lack of time space.
