MemberHas anyone ever read an e-book? I hear that Donita K. Paul is hiding a few somewhere in Cyberspace…what about reading books online, on such sites as classicreader.com?

MemberI have never read an e-book, exactly. Does reading the preview on Amazon count?

MemberI don’t think I have read one either. I think I prefer regular books.

MemberI spend enough time staring at computer screens as it is, I think I prefer to read a normal book. Besides, a computer doesn’t have that wonderful book feel to it.

MemberI’ve read one or two books online when I couldn’t find them anywhere else. I much prefer real books; they feel nicer and are easier on the eyes, and if I did all my reading on the computer I’d be online for…well, a good chunk of my life.

I do like online books for resources though, like if you’re looking up a quote–even if the books themselves are copyrighted and shouldn’t be online but are anyway *cough*Narnia*cough*

MemberI don’t believe I ever read a book online, and I don’t think I would as a first choice. I wouldn’t like to spend so much time on the computer.

MemberPreviews on Amazon do not, either, count! Yeah, I’d be on the computer for years and years if I read all my books online. Just wondering.
I, too, LOVE that bookey feel and smell and overall experience. But it’s nice to have a site or too for reading things bookmarked (no, that’s not a pun!) in case you have to read something for school that you don’t own. (This doesn’t happen very much, as we homeschool and have 9 bookcases…and growing!) Occasionally, you will get into one of those moods for a certain type of book, and having online resources will diminish the shock of not finding what you THOUGHT SURE you had!
Oh, hang copyrights. (Legally, o’ course. No wish to offend.)

MemberYeah, I didn’t think the Amazon previews counted.

The book feeling can’t be beat at all, although I haven’t tried an e-book reader, so I can’t really speak with authority. *wants to get his hands on a Kindle*
