    I could, I suppose. Though I just answered a question along the same lines in the negative, so I guess not. Too much math involved, anyway. :D

    Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and Other Writings by Jonathan Edwards

    One of my friends got me into a Jonathan Edwards daze, so to speak, and so far I’m liking it. :)

    I’m finally reading the fifth Lost Book by Ted Dekker, Lunatic. And I just started The Lion Vrie by Christopher Hopper.

    I am trying to finish Rise of the Dibor so I can start reading The Lion Vrie (along with C Triebold). After that, I think I’ll try to read some E. Nesbit, who is amazing! She wrote Five Children and It.

    Hey narnia365, have you heard of Edward Eager? He was an author who tried to imitate Nesbit’s style, and did so quite well, in my opinion.

    No, I have not heard of him… I’ll look him up… *looks him up on Amazon* :-)

    OK, I recognize the covers. So are they really good? Because if so, I’ll look into getting them. I noticed that the word “magic” is in almost every title. Just out of curiosity, does his books have spells and wizards and stuff? I try to stay away from stuff like that… I know that might sound hypercritical, after saying I liked E. Nesbit’s books. Is it about as “magical” as E. Nesbit’s books?

    Thanks!

    Not really. It’s fairy-tale-ish, not sword-and-sorcery. Edward Eager adored Nesbit’s books and his are very similar.

    *is baffled*

    What, so none of us are allowed to? Even if we don’t mind the math? ;)

    @narnia365,

    Eager’s books have the same type of magic as Nesbit. As I mentioned before, Eager tried to imitate Nesbit’s style. His books are a lot of fun for Nesbit fans because he continually makes sneaky references to Nesbit’s books, including having his characters read Nesbit and wish for adventures like Nesbit’s books. Great stuff. Think Nesbit in the mid-1900s.

    @Alyosha,

    The math line was a joke… I’m actually strong in math. I may have allowed it, but since I’d already said no to the same question, I figured I’d be consistent.

    To Wyatt: That is one book I also need to get to during the Read-a-thon. Let me know how it is!
