This post is for the book 20,000 leagues Under the Seaby Jules Verne. What did you like about it if you have read it? I loved all the things about the sea. I especially liked the Nautilus . It’s not really that big of a spoiler but for those who don’t like any thing being spoiled that’s for you.
I started listening to it on audio, but maybe halfway through (or more) switched to reading it on my own. (I think the book was abridged, though. But I abridged it even more by skipping the page-long descriptions of the different fish…… Ha! )
The ending wasn’t really what I was expecting, but it works. If you’re willing to wade through some of the long scientific monologues, I would say it’s an enjoyable read.

“Alice looked at the jury-box, and saw that, in her haste, she had put the Lizard in head downwards, and the poor little thing was waving its tail about in a melancholy way, being quite unable to move. She soon got it out again, and put it right; 'not that it signifies much,' she said to herself; 'I should think it would be quite as much use in the trial one way up as the other.'” -- Lewis Carroll,
