Okay, this is just for fun. I have a lot of friends who claim to have no time to read. I have asked them what takes up that time, and they really can’t come up with anything. Unfortunately (for them), I tend to tell them to read at every opportunity. :P

    So are you like that?

Sometimes I am. Especially when I lend them a book!:D

Well, I have one friend in particular who I always tell about the books that I have just read. Every time I see him I ask if he’s read all of the books I told him about. The poor guy has a me-imposed reading list of around twenty books that I’m sure he’ll never read!

Goodness! Don’t be too pushy or they’ll never dare read a book for fear you’ll give them five more to read! :P

Seriously though, I haven’t been very pushy to other people because I’m busy being pushy toward myself!

Well, he started out as a very big reader. He actually asked me what to read in the beginning, and then he got tied up in high school work.

Poor guy, high school work isn’t easy. :)

I only bug them about it if they’ve had it for more than a month. :D

Somewhat. I find that if I recommend a book to someone, the chances are that they will probably never read it. I have one friend who I would love to get to read some of my favorite Christian fantasy, but she re-reads LOTR every year and structures her life so well that she has little extra time to read anything I suggest.

I whisper “The Man Who Was Thursday” in my little sister’s ear well she sleeps. But otherwise, no, I’m never forceful.

(Just kidding, I don’t actually do any whispering.)

I have two friends who are both avid readers, and we share opinions and pros & cons about the books we’re reading; it’s quite nice.

Several times, I’ve had someone read a book I’ve suggested to them, and we lend books out to each other. With the exception that I hate it or the writing’s poor (I can’t STAND bad writing!), or I’m just drowning in books of my own, I read every book I’ve borrowed.

Yeah, I’d haveta say I’m a bit pushy!
