MemberHere’s a topic for discussing the Redwall series.
I’ve read Mossflower, Redwall, and Mattimeo so far.

MemberI’ve really enjoyed this series. My favorite would be. . . Pearls of Lutra. Although Taggerung runs a close second. I really should re-read them.

MemberI remember starting Redwall right before my twelfth B-day, and being amazed! I’d never read anything like it! Darling little poufy thingies running around being heroic, villains that were worth crinkling your nose over and feasts to beat all others…I fell in love and am now trying to get around to Salamandastron.

MemberI’ve read all of them at least twice, and read most of them out loud to my sis and bro. My favorites are Taggerung, Legend of Luke, Outcast of Redwall, and High Rhulain. I absolutely love them all, no matter what critics may say.
I’m currently re-reading Mariel of Redwall.

MemberAre you still reading it too, Pip? Because if you are, that makes three of us.
I just finished part one.

MemberMe again! I’m listening to Loamhedge on CD. (I have already read it.)
Thoughts on voices…
I rather like Bragoon and Saro’s voices, especially Saro’s. Martha’s voice wasn’t really how I had imagined it, and I didn’t really like Martin’s voice. Muggum the molebabe’s voice, however, is funny! Old Phredd’s is fun.

ParticipantYah, Sarah we listened to the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman on CD. It was good. The only problem was after that, we listened to Redwall on CD and it was the same voices as in castaways. We just couldn’t adjust to hearing the voices on diferent characters. So we never finished it.

MemberThat would be strange.
I’m afraid I haven’t listened to Loamhedge lately, so nothing new to report…

MemberThe Redwall website has been changed!!!!!!
It used to be so cool, with all the beautiful illustrations, and now it’s boring! I do like that it has been updated, and it has a better bio of Brian Jacques, but why did they have to change everything???On a much more cheerful note, I was studying the new design and accidentally discovered that Mr. Jacques will be on tour in the USA, and will be doing a book signing 48 minutes away from my house!!!!
Now I just have to convince my parents that we need to go.
