How ’bout re-reading them Freddy books. I’ve got to do that sometime myself. I haven’t read some of the newest ones to our collection yet, (the collection is complete now at 21 books, to which I’ve read perhaps fifteen of them).

Ooh, by all means, read Freddy! Walter R. Brooks is the author. I think they take place before, during, and after World War 1, so you get this great American spirit that kind of died after the Depression. Plus, you can’t beat a multi-talented pig who will try any new profession!

    Those books are so funny!

You might like another series by Lloyd Alexander, “The Vesper Holly” series. Lots of action and adventure.

I’ve only read a few of the V.H. books, and out of order, so I didn’t get it. Anyone like the Paddington books? I LOVE them!

whew! Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! So far I’ve read Ted Dekker’s book Black, and The boy in striped pj’s, Out of the books suggested. My Library stinks! It doesn’t have any good books. It just has all those stupid teenage nothing books. Has anyone read Twilight? I think it looks stupid, but I haven’t read it, so whats your opinion?

I know whatcha mean about soupy teenage books, they git on me nerves! Just the sight o’ ’em!

Never heard of Twilight. What’s it about?

SIDENOTE: No one should be afraid to ask opinions on books even if they look soupy or sinister, because we’re all here to give each other input and build each other up in the name of the Lord.

    AMEN! lol, Pip…you Rock.

Its a book about (from what I know) a girl who dates a vampire, and all about their relationship. If he should drink her blood, what their children will be like..etc. ;) A new movie is coming out about it. I think there is about..3 or 4 books

    Why, thanx!

I personally wouldn’t want to read it, but it’s up for you to decide. (Although it seems that you’d have a hard time gleaning goodness outta that plot!) And I discovered that I actually have seen them in Wal-Mart before.

Oh I don’t want to read them! I was just wondering if someone did, if they might be slightly better than what I’ve heard. They are kinda hard to miss. I read the Thief by Megan Whaler Turner. I thought the ending was kinda confusing. I didn’t see it coming at all!

Neither did I. But, rereading it, you can see foreshadowing all through the book which is v. cool.

Are you going to read The Queen of Attolia and The King of Attolia? :D

*has Twilight on her reading list but not terribly close to the top*

Good. ;) Hope you like them!

Oh, sorry, I meant that it’s on my to-read list. By the amount of holds on it at my library, I’m probably not going to read it for another five years or so

Is anyone’s library excurions quite complicated? Boy, I tell ya! I have books on different due dates, ILL that have been rechecked, ILL that can’t be rechecked therefore haveta be returned, books that have been rechecked once so haveta be put back into the system and taken right back out again by me, books that have been put back and taken right out twice…you name it!

Yup yup. Pip, you sound like my library trips. I currently have eight or nine books out, most on ILL, and they all go back at different dates, some have been renewed, etc.
