MemberI finally took the time to start reading again! Hooray! (What was I thinking to hold off on books for that long?) i’m now happily reading George MacDonald’s “Phantastes”. Very fun. He has some beautiful word pictures in it.

MemberA rather thick book by Bill Myers.
That’s the only thing of his that I’ve read. It’s split into 4 parts, and I think that somebody also published each part as a separate book, calling it the Imager Chronicles. It’s kind of an allegory. The main characters start out as unbelievers, but they get saved later on. (If you still call it that when it’s an allegory.)

What did you read on vacation?
Umm… A book about the making of the movie Lord of the Rings. And an exciting filmmaking book.

Quite good, I find their bank making and republic making very interesting. But it’s even more interesting in the Magician one.

A rather thick book by Bill Myers.
That’s the only thing of his that I’ve read.Unbelievable wasn’t it? Personally, I hated it. But don’t be discouraged with Mr. Myers, his Forbidden Doors Series was a ton better… though they all are pretty similar. But, a while back I found a guy that is like, a Bill Myers wannabe… but he’s TONS better (hope that made sense). Sigmund Brouwer. I think you’d like his Mars Diaries or Accidental Detectives. Besides dorky names, these books are incredible.
