MemberYesterday morning I finished reading The Story of the Secret Service. Still working on Ryann Watters.
I haven’t been doing a bunch of reading lately. Oh well. Maybe I’m saving it for the next Read-a-Thon.

MemberiTouches and iPhones??? Gee whiz, I am NOT a technically minded person. My blog was a big breakthrough!
Alas, for the time I’ve been gone (see the writer’s thread) I haven’t read very much…let’s see…Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision was a book giveaway prize I won, and it was pleasant and funny. The fifth Kingdom Series book ROCKETH, much better than it predecessors. The fifth Mitford book was good, Dragon Slippers was rather corny but rather cute at the same time…and I think that’s it. I started Outcast by Rosemary Sutcliff and I LOVE it sofar.

MemberI received volume 1 of The Complete Father Brown for Christmas and I will probably either start it tomorrow, or read it on the long long car trip we’re doing on Saturday. (my turn to desert, I’m afraid…)

MemberThough keep in mind, Jordan, that once you arrive at your destination, I’m sure there will be some computers you can use. (For a price, of course.)
I’m actually not reading anything right now. :o

MemberGood grief, I loved Thr3e!
I finished Outcast and I’m gonna start reading Treasure Island to Momsie on Monday. Dad’s started reading aloud The Four Story Mistake, which is very pleasant!
How did you like The Book of Three the second time over, Alassiel?

MemberHow are Phantastes and The Winged Watchman*, Alassiel? How was Father Brown, Jordan?
Currently reading–*runs off to check Goodreads because she can’t remember*–A stack, a boatload, but mostly Cyrano de Bergerac. Love the book, do not love the translation.
(Going back a few pages: Inkdeath finally came. I read the beginning and end and got bored and then it was time to return it to the library. Yeah…)
*Have you read The Borrowed House by her? that’s my favourite of the four Van Stockum books I’ve read.

MemberMy grandmother just gave me The Restorer and Isle of Fire for a belated Christmas celebration, so I’m currently reading Isle of Fire! (With those, I now own at least one book by all 8 Motiv8 authors!) I just finished Reb and the Redcoats.
Pip: Book of Three was good the second time. I like re-reading Alexander’s books.
Alyosha: I really enjoyed The Winged Watchman. No, I haven’t read any of her other books. Phantastes has promise, but five or so chapters in, there’s not really alot of plot yet, so it’s sorta slow.
