Marguerite Henry
Marguerite Henry was born in Wisconsin on April 13th, 1902. By the time she was seven, she had developed a serious childhood illness that kept her confined indoors where she soon discovered the joy of reading. She wrote more than 20 books, mostly about animals, before she died on November 26th, 1997.
