Owan
MemberI just thought of this… The Tale of Despereaux. Saw a commercial for that on the telly Sunday night, (well we watched The Amazing Race well waiting for Pairot to come on. *loves Pairot*)
Since when is 2-3 days a long time, Alyosha?
That’s the whole point, Jordan, to force yourself around or through those walls. You should try it sometime. It’s fun.
I like snow quite a bit but I will admit it gets annoying when it snows so very much. (This year looks like it’s going to be a “so very much” year.)

MemberI write scripts, though. My best writing comes through collaboration, which could mean that I’m not any good at getting stuff down, but my collaborators are brilliant…

Excuse me? You have good ideas!

MemberThe Girls and I LOVED the Guard Movie, y’all!
*applauds uproaringly for Owan and Alyosha* Now Aly, you must send me a picture of you and I shall judge whether or not you look sufficiently Poe-ish!!!
Yes, Owan, music is only noise if it’s not God-honoring! Same goes fer everythang else.
*aimlessly thinks about turning a story idea into a script*
Awwww, The Tale of Despereaux looks so cute!!! (The mouse is kinda weird, but…) We saw a commercial fer it today and started the book as a read-aloud (having FINALLY finished Grandma’s Attic; no comment on that).
This week we took off from school to make crafts and read Thanksgiving books, cook like the Dickens and clean house. So I’m staying up until unholy hours (right now it’s almost 4) and annoying everyone on the internet. *comfy sigh*
I woke up at lunshtime (don’t you DARE start laughing) and found snow flurries blizzarding! It lasted for mebbe five minutes, but it sure was pretty!
I don’t say AH-men, I say AY-men. Clarification there. I was the only kid in mah family NOT born in a Southern state, I have a weird accent: part Arky, part Cockney and part backstreet slang.
I jist discovered, I LOVE the song “Give Me Your Eyes” by Brandon Heath.
Well, it finally happened. My children, my book and story characters, have revolted…publicly!!! *looks around for Infamous Hankie* They are running a blog of their own now!!! It’s http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/PipsKids/ and frightens me to death. Lucky fer me, I found the password (mauhahaha), so if they say anything too awrful about me, I shall delete the whole blog!!!
I screamed too much today (whut wus I doing? No idea) and so now mah throat is aching.
Corn chowder is Heaven on earth. Try it.
Thanks, Alyosha, fer that comment on mah blog!!! I only think that near-the-end scene I described shoulda been rated R, not the whole movie. Still mad about that. I shall forever loathe the words, “Indiana Jones”.
Random notes of the day: Newboys are alright, I like taking showers in the dark, broke the record of staying-up-ridiculously-late and did 7:30, I have split personalities, and we call nights when we see our breath Dragon Nights or Dragon Days.
*rejoices over randominity*
EDIT: (as if this post wasn’t long enough) I tried changing mah avatar but it’s not showing up here; has it changed?
November 26, 2008 at 12:43 pm #43794Jordan
MemberSarah, I meant that I have trouble getting the ideas on paper. And thank you.

Pip, your avatar is now black, it seems. Glad you liked the Guard Movie, too.

Thanks.

Yes, your avatar has gone completely black.

MemberAlyosha said: (I just figured out that Adalin and Alassiel were different people. *HEADDESK* I mean, I knew it, but the avatars, the names… [
] ) Lol. Yes, we are different people, even if we happen to be sisters. I don’t know why we have the same avatar.
November 26, 2008 at 5:10 pm #43797Jordan
MemberAlassiel (and Adalin), if you used the same email address, that would give you the same avatar.
November 26, 2008 at 8:25 pm #43798Alassiel
MemberAh, that makes sense!
November 27, 2008 at 7:29 pm #43799Alyosha
MemberAha, you’re sisters? I knew that…

Lovely avatar Pip. Very morbidly charming.
Despereaux looks all right…I mainly liked the book for the writing style, which can’t be in the movie obviously, and the animation style of the movie vexes me for some unknown reason. It doesn’t seem to fit the story, or something. Oh well…maybe I’ll get it on DVD. What think you of the book, Pip?
*updates her young brother’s wordcount for the Young Writer’s Program* He just passed 1K. Go him. o_0
Quote:Now Aly, you must send me a picture of you and I shall judge whether or not you look sufficiently Poe-ish!!!…yeah that’s a cop-out, I can’t find a decent one with a visible face at the moment. Except for this, which is just a little outdated. Oh wait, here’s one, sort of, though I’m not sure what I was trying to take a picture of there.
@Jordan: There’s always Script Frenzy ^^
*listens to Viva la Vida again because the song is just awesome like that*
November 27, 2008 at 8:28 pm #43800Jordan
MemberScript Frenzy looks interesting… Still probably won’t do it. That sort of thing really works better when you plan it out, as I’m discovering with Rebekah and Ruth right now. I’d be more likely to do one of those 24-hour film festivals.
November 27, 2008 at 9:21 pm #43801Pip
MemberHAHAHAHA, lovely bathroom, Alyosha!!! You look more like you work with the FBI than Poe’s wife; whether this is appealing it up to you.
Aw gee, sorry bout mah avatar; dunno whut’s wrong wid it!!!
*looks at post recent post of hers, realizes she doesn’t know a lick of ‘backstreet slang’ and comes to the conclusion that she is more familiar with molespeech*
I broke mah tradition of doing nothing about Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving and watched Miracle on 34th. Street wid mah family. *gets tired of weird spelling* I have NO interest in watching the Cowboys lose, so I’m upstairs at the moment. Mom, Katsy and I all went through a torturous experience whilst trying to complete G.B.’s moccasin kit all morning…let’s just say that next time, we’ll buy them ready-made.
As for the Tale of Despereaux, we all really like it. For a mouse-lover like me, who can’t see the allure in screaming my head off at the site of a poufie thing scuttling across my kitchen floor, I shout AWWWWWWWWWWWW every other word. The whole mouse-falling-in-love-with-a-human thing is strange, needless to say, but other than that it’s really cute. I do indeed wanna see the movie! *gets mad* Nothing else decent coming out!

MemberOoh! Pretty hair, Alyosha!!

MemberIt’s snowing! It’s snowing! *dances around the yard in her bare feet, giggling wildly* Oh, wait, it’s raining. No, actually, it stopped. Make up your mind, willya?
November 30, 2008 at 7:46 pm #43804Sarah
MemberOoh! Snow! Congratulations!
It hasn’t snowed here yet. Oh well.
