MemberLOL, Janin. But maybe next year I’ll read more too!

MemberI’d like to claim Starlighter.

Memberlol, that’s what I do to some extent. Though I do wear ankle length skirts all the time, I have to improvise a tunic top with a belted shirt, because it seems to be always too hot to wear my poet shirt!
Not to mention the impracticality of a cloak when it’s 90 degrees… ::sigh:: Can’t wait for winter.
Um, are you suggesting that me and you swap clothes for books, Janin? Our library doesn’t have fines. It also doesn’t have many books. (I do not know if those two facts are related…)

Member::stunned silence:: I… won? Wow!!! This so cool! Thank you! It was fun! I can’t believe it! ::bursts into hyper giggles:: I’m surprised I made fifth place in page totals too.
Didn’t think I’d actually read that many!
I will definitely do my best to participate in the next one, even if I don’t get lucky and win a prize.

MemberI have heard of books that were 50 years over due or something. I think the library waved all fines because they were honest enough to actually return it.

MemberI think you can, but I don’t know if movies count. ::shrug:: I think I’ll quote one anyway.
“Obi-wan killed your father!”~ Darth Vader, The Empire Strikes Back, original footage.

MemberLOL. That’s funny. But the librarian should be wearing a black cloak instead of a ski mask, scarier.

MemberYour librarian ignores the ten-book limit and lets you check out 43.
You search the woods for yew, because you know (from reading Robin Hood) that that’s the only wood that’s good enough for an English longbow.
You make a bow because it was your favorite character’s weapon.
You start writing books, because you want to read more, but can’t find anything more to read!
You shock your parents by reading Moby Dick, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, King Arthur, and any Henty book, and understanding every single word, despite the many dialects. All of these things except for the searching for yew to make a bow I have done. I haven’t done that because I know yew doesn’t grow around here.
