Ha, Jordan. I’ll have you know I’m at 37.5k right now. ;) And I think I could easily finish in five days if I wanted to, but I don’t want to. :P

Alyosha: Ahhh I am reminded of your Town Square days. (Haven’t seen you there in a while…but then, I haven’t seen my there in a while either.)

No comment. At all. I don’t think. Carry on…

Alyosha: *listens to her brother entreat the child not to jump on the couch*

*finds this amusing for no logical reason*

Alyosha: Wish I could join the book discussion, I really want to read DHT but noooo, my library won’t buy it.

    Christmas time’s a’coming! Christmas time’s a’coming! ;)

    Alyosha: *ignores Owan’s frown*

*ignores the fact that Alyosha is ignoring her*

Alyosha: @Owan who is much better about using quotes than I am:

Only because I worry that people won’t understand what I’m trying to say. You give your readers more credit than I.

Alyosha: I think there was one TobyMac song that I liked, once upon a time. Can’t remember the name of it now. But there was. ;) His isn’t really “hard” rap though — you should hear what some of the kids at school listen to. It has no melody and no harmony, and it must take great talent to understand the words, if there are words and not just meaningless shouting. It consists wholly of overbearing rhythm, and rhythm alone does not music make.

*agrees, and would say “Amen” if she was anything like some of the people on the NB boards* :P Meaningless shouting? Since when does rap include shouting? *ponders* Rap is generally really unskinny guys that aren’t white saying a bunch of one or two syllable words in quick succession (sometimes referred to as “spoken word”). The meaningless shouting is generally in songs labeled “hard rock” or “heavy metal” which includes a great deal of guitar and drumming with not much else in the music part of the song and not much for lyrics except alot of…meaningless shouting. ;)

Alyosha: Haha, I was trying to figure out if Avatar Girl was you…there is certainly a resemblance.

You too? I must have a partiality to girls that look like me. *wonders why* Because here is another one: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h165/NarniaFan101/OTHERpictures/Avatars–SIGNATURESxXxBANNERS/girl-book.png

Alyosha: I read some of Leepike Ridge yesterday.

The rest of ya’ll need to read Leepike Ridge too. It’s quite good.

Alyosha: That voice article is v. interesting. I wonder if it’s just other Americans who think they sound Swedish/English/whateverish, or if people from those countries would.

I don’t think they do. It seems they couldn’t label one particular accent to that woman. It’s probably her brain’s own personal accent and it sounds very nice…

That’s all I have time to say right now. Must run. *runs accordingly*

    [edit]:

Alyosha: The eBay song happens to be hilarious, so there. [:P] The words to Canadian Idiot are amusing but the music is not my style. And that’s all I’ve heard by him.

Hilarious? *finds it to be very, very stupid* Weird Al isn’t just weird, he’s more than weird. *so saying makes a metal note to listen to Canadian Idiot*

Alyosha: That’s just because you write more in the mornings (the middle of the night for me) and I write more in the evenings (the middle of the night for you). So naturally any time one gets on the other seems ahead.

*finally understands* :P But, again, I write more in the evenings than I used to which is three or four pm for you. ;)

Alyosha: Oh, and in answer to a long-ago blog comment, no, I didn’t end up going to the conference thing. This is the first time I’ve been glad over results of the falling economy. [:P]

Ah, I see. Is America’s economy messing up everyone else’s or is your government equally stupid?

Pip: I go for the Christian-pushed-into-the-arena type doodads.

    *shivers* Those are so…sad.

Pip: *consider renaming thread as Long Posts to Annoy People With* [:P]

Haha! If you must, I suppose. *gets out machine gun and wonders who’s still annoyed* :P

    Pip: TobyMac is…okaaay…

Dun-dun-dah! Pip admits it! :P Nevermind, I suppose I’ll forgive you for not liking tMac.

Pip: I stayed up until three writing last night.

    *is shocked*

Pip: EDIT: Come to think of it, someone should write all of us into a book…wouldn’t that make an editing nightmare?

    *wouldn’t buy that book* :P

Alyosha: Did you know that if you go without sleep for three days straight, you are legally considered insane? …oh wait, Google says that’s an urban myth. How disappointing. Look at this instead, then.

*counts twenty-seven sheep* Hmmm…I think I was tired before hand. Dunno if it does any good.

Um…I don’t have much to say today, do I?

When I read it I probably won’t like it. Seeing as I didn’t like Inkheart, it’s kind of a logical assumption.

Disagree! :P What’s the point of watching a movie about people killing each other for fun? And they all have the cute girl too. (The movie does not the gladiator.) But, I suppose I should allow you to like what you like. *sighs* :P

Owan’s word count is probably farther than mine; it usually is, not to mention word wars and all that jazz. *goes off to check* Which I missed because I was off watching the election. How fascinating, yet how grim.

There isn’t much point in me watching the election, which is why I didn’t. It either goes –woosh– up over my head or it’s just boring. It was kind of pathetic to wake up the next morning to the news that Obama was president though. My word count is usually higher than yours? Heh! How come I log in just about every morning to see you at a few hundred words more than me? Recheck your facts, girl.

*laughs* That would be fun. Maybe not to spill tea but to know you left a shriek on someone else’s answering machine. Or, perhaps. Not sure. Was it or is it fun?

Speaking of voices and answering machines: this news article interests me a great deal. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=6241218

How did the NW word war yesterday go?

There were two, I think I hit 550 ruffly during the first one well several people hit 600 but ForeverFan was the winner. And the second one was after most people left and I hit 410 I think. Never did figure out who won that wore. It was quite fun and pleasant. Nearly a thousand words of nonsense. ;)

Right Chief, you never said a truer word. [:P] I’ll stick my head in whenever I’m around in the evenings. Which might not be very often, alas alas.

Never said a truer word? If I thought you really thought that I’d definitely be insulted. I hope I’ve said truer things than that. :P Not just evenings though, everytime you’re on the computer and plan to be on the computer for more than five minutes you must sign on. Hear that?

Even Nestle chocolate is probably better than no chocolate. Though, Nestle probably isn’t yet keen on the whole health thing. The whole health thing means no candy or snacks to speak of around hear. ;)

I already pointed that out, Alyosha. The oxymoron part.

I read the other day in one of the NaNo forums that chocolate is great for the uninspired-writer’s brain. *stuffs face*

Had no idea it was coming out…or that there was even a new book…don’t really keep up with Paul’s stuff.

I’m not really interested in it. I’m not a Paul person…but if the library gets it I’ll read it.

Probably not when you are on, Alyosha. Mornings don’t work unless you are up before six. 8am-4pm (sometimes later) weekdays my time don’t work. I’m not supposed to be in the computer then. Except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I’m only not on the computer from 8am-1pm.

I should have guessed you’d be ocuppated with dinner, very unthoughtful of me. We are doing such at that time, too. Thursday I’m doing such from about 4-6pm and on Monday, Wednesday, Friday I’m not available from about 5-6pm.

6-10ish I’m nearly always available. Saturdays I’m gone from 8am-1pm and I’m gone during the fifth pm hour on Saturday. Saturday evenings aren’t much good in general. Sundays I’m gone from 7:30am-2pm at the earliest and then a hour around six o’clock I’m gone because of dinner.

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Those times only work when we have a computer at home (we have one here now but I don’t know how long it will stay.) When the computers are all at the store then I’d have to try to go to the library which is a whole lot harder to do. ;) You now know why I don’t hardly ever get on the TS.

Anyways. *cough* All in all: you just need to sign into YIM more. ;) *wonders if there’s a YIM Moble and how much it would cost*

Pip. *waves* Don’t think I’m trying to ignore you. :D I’ll make you a tremendous reply to all the things you’ve recently said as soon as I’m off my iTouch. (I’m kinda meh about gladiators. Reading about martyrs is somewhat unnerving…)

Get on YIM and we’ll war, Alyosha. If you want to, I mean. I’m going to be on the computer at 8 (6 for you). Or rather…I’m going to try to get the computer at 8.

Um. I’m currently watching Welcome to the Freak Show. 90s music and dress and whatever…only slightly disturbing.

Ahh…charades is good if your guessing but my siblings can’t play it. We know each other much too well. It’s so bad that if a actor comes in and lays on the floor and two others kneel beside the first one…we know what the skit is. It’s dreadful. :p

We obviously spend a great deal of time together.
