MemberA cover–how exciting!
You can get a little bit of info about The Vanishing Sculpter in a corner of Mrs. Paul’s website: Right here But there’s not a whole lot out there yet.

MemberWe really do apologize for the delay in getting this straightened out, but now we can actually tell you:
The winner of the DragonSpell drawing is… Alyosha!
We’re getting confirmation that it has shipped, so hang in there.

MemberHey now, go easy on us. Running a contest is a lot harder than you might think! And we also had to stop and work on the Motiv8 Author Interviews last night and this morning…

MemberWe have at least five of them reviewed on Incredibooks… I’m a bit miffed, though, that because of our new Amazon linking system, you can’t find most of the authors by searching for them (are you reading this, Jordan?), since their name is no longer actually part of our site’s content. So the only way you can find Eager’s books on there is if you search by individual title. Well, with a few exceptions, but I won’t get into that.

MemberYeah, it’s hard to tell just how accurate tests like these end up. I’m sure it has a lot to do with the majority of the answers, rather than a few specific strong ones. *shrugs*
I did try it, though, and it came out as Aragorn: “You are most like Aragorn. You have strong convictions and you stick to them. Although you are more of a recluse, you are extremely loyal to the few friends that you have. You are very serious about things, but you like having fun. Fame and fortune mean little to you, and you aren’t concerned with being popular.”
I’d say that about sums it up!
But I should note that he’s much more skilled with the torch and sword thing than I’ll ever be.

MemberAlyosha, I did enjoy the story; it was just those things I mentioned that irked me a bit. And yes, I meant the fact that the others didn’t care much. It was sort of the feel of, “I feel so awful ’cause I intentionally told a lie!” And they tell him “Get over it!” Not quite that bluntly, of course.
Do you mean the count, Pip? I can’t say he reminded me much of Fflewddur. Fflewddur is generally well-meaning, but the Count Las Bombas is more of a shameless swindler!

MemberOf these new suggestions, I’ve read Till We Have Faces and I Am David. Both were good, but I didn’t feel up to reviewing them at the time.
And I read The Tale of Despereaux several years ago, but I don’t remember it very well, so I might look into it again.
I recognize the author of The Giants… He did The Twenty-One Balloons, which we have reviewed.

MemberOh, let me think… Hey, we started (albeit slowly) in August of ’05, so Incredibooks is approaching its third year! Very cool.
