    Sarah – 2 days ago  »

Well, I added it up on a calculator and it appears to be right.

*wipes brow* I was certain I’d get on here and someone would have corrected me. Thanks, Sarah!

The People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau 338 pages

The sequel to The City of Ember and very good as well. I (unlike some people on NWeb) liked this one very nearly the same as Ember. My favorite part was probably the part about the little nursery rhymes about Ember. Particularly this one:

Remember the city, the city remember

Where treasure is hidden under the ground

The city, the city, always remember

That’s where the treasure will be found.”

    Running Total: 3,500 Pantagruelian, I know. :P

DragonQuest by Donita K. Paul 349 pages

The writing wasn’t as bad as in DragonSpell. My favorite name was Taylaminkadot and favorite character just so happens to be Toopka and Regidor (particularly in the first half). Not a bad book, I dare say.

The Toothpaste Millionaire by Jean Merrill 89 pages

I think one of my elders read this to me when I was little…but I don’t remember. Anyway, it’s a shockingly interesting book about a twelve year old who becomes a millionaire in two years by selling toothpaste for three cents a bottle (and when he upgrades, fifteen cents a tube). Of course, this was when regular toothpaste was sold for 79 cents a tube. Don’t ya know.
