Sweet! Thank you!
I don’t think people can actually read books that are 200+ pages in a day…they can one book (I do it) but 3 or 4….unless you sit and read all day, and maybe not even then!
And does pages of the Bible count?? Like for devotions and what not?
In last year’s Read-a-Thon, Bible reading did count. I’m not too sure about this year, but I’m keeping track, just in case.
Yes, Bible reading most definitely counts.
Just to make sure… To those who have posted multiple 200+ page books already, you are counting books read from June 13 onward, right? Remember that you can only count pages read past June 13. The rules tell you what to do if you’ve already started a book before the Read-a-Thon began, so look ’em up if you need to.
Thank you, Jordan. :
If I read all of the books I’m planning on reading this summer I will have read 3740 pages! Seems hi but so low.
I’ve just added some printable bookmarks to the promo graphics page, but I’ll stick some links here. Enjoy!
Right-click or control-click the links to save the bookmark to your computer. Then print and use them!
You people rock, did you know that?
Between all three participating forums, we have already read over 20,000 pages!
Awesome!
We have shirts available for pre-order now! https://incredibooks.com/read-a-thon/read-a-thon-shirts/
(Like last year, we’ll take pre-orders until the Read-a-Thon is over, then we’ll make them all at once and ship them out. That keeps the costs down. )
*Personally wants a green one*
Cool! Now to decide…..buy one or no??
I have a question.
If you find an interesting author that another participant read, can you read the same book? Just making sure, because I found a bunch that I would like to read.
You can most certainly read books that others have read! That’s part of the fun of the Read-a-Thon… You get to see what everyone else reads and learn about books you might not have heard about.
Which is also why we encourage everybody to post their thoughts on the books as they read them. It can be as simple as saying you recommend/don’t recommend the book, or you can go all out and do a mini review.
Ohhhh gotcha! Thanks a bunch, Jordan.
Hey Jordan I have a question. Can I read these books for the Read-A-Thon? http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Peanuts-1950-1954-Box-Set/dp/1560976322/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1308954594&sr=8-1 ? They are comic strips but there in book format.
We’ve already said that graphic novels don’t count, so, no, comic strips do not count toward your page totals.
