I just finished The Restorers Son.  I love Sharon Hinck’s characters!  They are awesome!!  Now I am reading Anne Franks diary for school.  Which is extremely boring.

I am reading Starlighter.  So far it’s slow which is not something I ever expected of Bryan Davis.  I am also quite happy to discover that there has been no techno babble this whole book.

I am reading The VonTrapp Family Singers for school.  It is very good.  Not very close to the movie, but there is some stuff the movie took straight out of the book.

I am so joining!  For the last two years I have came in second place and it’s driving me nuts.  Second place is great and all, but it’s beginning to get infuriating being that close and not making it.

The Swiss Family Robinson did sorta annoy me for the reasons you mentioned and because it was so, almost preachy at times.  Then I read the introduction and discovered that the book was written by a British army chaplain for his sons back home.  It was supposed to be guidelines for what sort of men he wanted them to be, which explained a lot.   So while it wasn’t my favorite book I enjoyed it.

I love Doyle. Sherlock Holmes is cool, even if his line of reasoning is sometimes confusing.
