Oh, I forgot… I’m also intermittently and randomly reading bits of Half Magic for various factoids and lines, as I’m adapting it for Script Frenzy.

The Bones of Makaidos! (That’s if I can stop looking at the signed title page) :D

I really think that the Castaways series is better than Redwall. It’s more interesting, anyway. I’m really looking forward to a book 4, if Brian Jacques ever writes it!

That’s correct. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know when we’re having it!

I suppose the point is to read it at the same time. But hey, this is a good place to stick spoilers, anyhow.

It is the fourth and final book in the Oracles of Fire series, but it will wrap up stuff from the Dragons in Our Midst series, as well.

I don’t particularly like the chart out thing… That means I have to read at the pace everybody else is. How ’bout people can do that if they like, and I’ll just. Post your thoughts on the book here regardless of how you read it! :P

All those in favor of Owan, Wyatt, and Sarah donating the million and one dollars say, “aye!” :D

I’m a world person. To me a great book is defined by the scope of the worlds. If the author sticks little bitty details all over the place, and then ties them into a backstory or world, I feel a part of it.

Kind of hard to explain, I guess. I could nitpick historical fiction, I suppose. I nitpick history a lot… But mostly fantasy.

    Okay, I’ve thought long enough…

My top books can be determined as the ones with a world deep enough that my brother and I are constantly speculating about nitpicky details. Those would be:

Anything I’ve read by Bryan Davis.

    Tolkien’s LOTR and Hobbit.

Nothing else comes to mind right now…

I’m reading The Mysterious Island, although it may get dropped in favor of The Bones of Makaidos when it comes soon!

Okay, a little closer to the Read-a-Thon or R.A.T. if you like. Any more ideas? We’re getting close to time to start gearing up and any input you want to get in should probably come now.

I think one is their blog, one is the official site. Whatever.

I don’t know who all gets the Bryan Davis newsletter, but in the latest one Bryan Davis links to a preview chapter of Bones of Makaidos, and says that he will be receiving a shipment on March 27th. He’ll fill pre-orders then.

    Anybody else excited?

I’m liking Hornet right now. We’ll see how it goes for the rest of the book.
