MemberThe Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. 1,122 pages.
Excellent for the most part, though as with any long series it has its high and low points. Better in the latter half when fewer cases come out unsolved or just-too-late-to-stop-the-crime.Aristotle’s Poetics for Screenwriters by Michael Tierno. 167 pages.Probably the most blah screenwriting book I’ve read, but it still had its “aha!” moments.Running total: 4,460 pages.Jordan
MemberYour library sets a 10-book limit after the time you checked out 43.

MemberThe Read-a-Thon ends on August 31. You have until I get up in the morning (5:30 AM) on September 1 and close the thread to post what you’ve read.

MemberAdalin, that’s perfectly fine. I totally understand if some people can’t afford them. We knew that when we made the design and posted asking who would order one.
Jordan
MemberIsaac, if we actually do the shirts, I will put up a page where you can order them.
Janin, for sure!

MemberAnd I’m not trying to pressure anybody, BTW. Just putting it out there because somebody asked.

MemberAn update: The Read-a-Thon organizers want four shirts. So we only need four more people to say yes to make ’em.

MemberWe haves connections.
And as I mentioned before, those twelve do include orders from the organizers. I know that we want at least two of those.Jordan
MemberYes, you can read a book twice in a row if you’d like. Don’t anybody get any ideas, but we had somebody last year who decided he’d try to read the same book over and over for three months, because he’d have it memorized and could read it faster and rack up more pages.
So as long as that’s not your goal, go for it!Jordan
MemberWe need to get a least 12, but some of those will come from the Read-a-Thon organizers, ’cause we wanted some, too. Not sure how many of us wanted one, though.
