Is that book stand alone or part of a series?

I’ve been meaning to start a reading group for the longest time. One for Jonathan Strange and another for Anne of Green Gables, not at the same time though. ;)

I believe you chart out when you read each chapter or several chapters and then when you’ll post thoughts on them so everyone is reading it in a roughly uniformed way. Like three chapters on weekdays and discussion/thoughts on weekends. Or something. I’ve never actually been in a reading group, ya know. ;)

I have the idea that The Magician’s Nephew could make a lovely, epochal movie, Alyosha, if done right (not likely) and paired with the right music (possible, I suppose.) Yes, it is lovely. [:D] Digory reminds you of yourself? Interesting, interesting. *has nothing to say about HHB*

Hopefully I’m not mistaken but you did like The Queen best, didn’t you?

Yay! Other than these, which please me quite thoroughly, our tastes are quite different. ;)

The Magician’s Nephew, Alyosha? Huh, that’s probably my least favorite. ;) I art glad you have seen the wonders of King of Attolia. *is happy, now*

If I defined my favorites the way you do, Jordan, than I’d have to go with the Fairy Tale Novels as an answer. ;)

The Mongolian Clapping Game isn’t all that hard…

Spoons are fun. I really like that game, actually. (Have I said that already?)

The Mongolian Clapping Game. Well, players sit in a circle and start a beat (clap hands, slap thighs, clap hands, slap thighs) and everyone has a Sign (snake, mummy, hitchhiker, zombie, boxer, fish, cyber tooth tiger–Mongolians tend to just use animal signs but we’ve made up a few of our own :P ).

Loser starts (the only people with titles are the King and Loser–the King sits at the “head” of the circle and the Loser is on his left), let’s say the loser’s Sign is fish. He starts the beat and then it goes something like this.

Everyone hits their thighs, then well the rest clap Loser (fish) does his Sign, everyone hits their thighs, everyone claps well Loser does the Sign of another player (hitchhiker), everyone hits their thighs, Hitchhiker does his Sign well everyone else claps, everyone hits their thighs, Hitchhiker does the sign of another player…

It goes like that getting faster and faster until someone messes up and that person has to go take the Loser’s spot and is now the Loser. If the King messes up than he becomes the Loser and the person on the King’s right takes the King Sign and the King takes the person that was on his right’s Sign.

Did that make any sense? There isn’t really a goal or point to it, it’s just fun. :D

My older and younger sister were reminising (sort of) about Father Brown the other day.

I’m reading Pendragon: The Merchant of Death. Oh joy.
