The Eyre Affair – Jasper Fforde   (I don’t recommend it. Adult material and language issues.)  374 pages

Whew. I thought I was never going to be able to finish that book! It’s a good book, don’t get me wrong. It just felt like life conspired to keep me from picking it up.

I finally read some Dekker! (Gasp, world.) It was Blink, and I rather enjoyed it. I would have tried the Circle trilogy too, but the place that I’m staying at only has White. That makes it kinda  tough.

Hooray for dog and house sitting! It makes for long, reading filled afternoons. :D

Beyond the Summerland by L. B. Graham –  572 pages

Blink  by Ted Dekker – 386 pages (First Ted Dekker. I’d been avoiding him because I’d heard most of his work was “horror” or “really scary” but this one wasn’t at all horror. Definitely for older teens/young adults because of some of the subject matter, but an excellent action story. And plenty of conspiracies. Gotta love the conspiracies. :P

    LoL. Nice one, Jordan.

I’m so excited! Now to actually pick which book to start with. . . .

Whoo-hoo! I’m so excited. And this year it looks like I’ll actually have time to read. Yay!

We have a new blog post up, everyone. And it’s announcing something extra special we’re doing this year.

It would probably take me forty five minutes to bike to our library. In short, it wouldn’t work out so well. =P

I’m waiting for a good friend to stop by and drop off a new sewing machine. =)

You don’t like bicycling in the rain? =P

    Birthday party today.
EDIT: I should specify that it’s a friend’s birthday party, not mine.

I rather like the name Loch for a character. (Kind of off topic, I know. Just saying. . . ) :P

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! *Snoopy dance* This is exciting.

And I really can’t wait to see who’s the badguy for these,  because almost everyone got taken care of in the last series! And I hope it connects to King Arthur stuff again. I love that.

We’re supposed to get a thunderstorm here today! Yay! Maybe I can read during it.

Anyone else like thunderstorms in the daytime?

I haven’t worked up the nerve to try his books yet. From what I’ve heard, they’re a little on the intense/just plain scary side. I don’t do scary. =P

Ooh,  Five Weeks in a Balloon! I haven’t read that in along time.

My reading time is sorely lacking, although I just finished re-reading some of the Million Dollar Mysteries. Now I’m on the scout for something new to read. . . preferably Fantasy, not too dark. Hmm. Although I could a sci/fi, if it’s a good one. I haven’t had much success with sci/fi.
