Whoa! *gasps at Around the World in Eighty Days summary*. . . . why didn’t they just give it a new title and call it good?

The Door Within books would make a really, really intense movie. There’s no way I could watch it. Particualarly with the Trapdoor spiders and when they’re inside Paragory.

    Those books are so funny!

You might like another series by Lloyd Alexander, “The Vesper Holly” series. Lots of action and adventure.

I stopped reading after Eldest because of the moral issues. Oh, and his magic made me nervous. It felt too “new-age” to me.

I remember the Archives of Anthropos. I never finished the last one because it seemed really dark.

What age group are we looking at here?

Aha! I see those Prydain Chronicles. (I just thought to myself, “I need to re-read those”. . . ) Oh, and “The Pushcart War”! I got such a kick out of that one. It was so funny.

Lots of good books have already been recomended.

I agree with C Triebold, Wayne Thomas Batson is good. I’ve only read his “Door Within Trilogy”, but I’ve heard very favorable reports about his other books.

Could someone give me a plot summary? I’m curious.

(And yes, I could just go look it up on Amazon, but I like getting other people’s takes on new books.)

You don’t have to post two that you haven’t read. You can post only one that you haven’t read, or none at all. . .

    Is this game too confusing?

I read it! Yes, it was sad at the end. *sniffs* Although I don’t remember actually crying. . .

What’s her name. . . the French lady who knits? She creeped me out!
