    Redwall – 351 pages
Review: Proofread this for Vivace Kondrael (that’s his username, I need to get into his account soon to post his books…). Sorry, not going to let him read it. I would’ve except for the slightly wierd theology (for being a monastary, they sure are not Christian) and the fact that they kept using bad language. :( Too bad, Brian Jacques has a good touch for memorable characters and an interesting plot.

Junior Classics –  volume 7, adventures of courage and heroism – 572 pages
Review: Very interesting! I wish they would reprint this. I got it off Gutenburg (randomly, actually, found it while looking for something else) and then found a page count on Amazon (just barely, it seems to be only somewhat in print) Lamplighter should get this one, this is a really interesting book. :) Full of short stories of courage and heroism, as the title says. Need to watch the theology a bit (it’s not all conservative Protestant/Anabaptist) but no bad language and no gore.
Originally intended for a 10-14yo, I think, but it was very interesting even to me, and the reading level is on par with any teenage book written now. I love the old books, they’re written so much better. :)

The Great Wide Sea, by M. H. Herlong – 288 pages  Review – “Just two months after the death of his mother in a car accident, his dad, crushed by the loss of his wife, sells their house and small boat

and uses the money to buy the Chrysalis, a 30-foot sailboat. He

uproots Ben and two younger sons for a yearlong tour of the Bahamas.

Life goes as smoothly as it can for a while, despite the tension,

chores, and close quarters. But one morning everything changes—their

father disappears.” Overall, this book is pretty good, but I don’t think I would “re-read” it. Definetely interesting though… all-and-all, it’s a lot like Swiss Family Robinson in “style” and in “feel”.

The Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson – 272 pages
Review: This is an interesting read of the War of the Roses. I enjoyed the adventure & chivalry aspects, as well as the historical aspects. You have to read it all the way through and not be put off by the MC’s quest for revenge, though. ;) It does have a good ending.

Freddy and the Popinjay by Walter R. Brooks — 244 pages
Excellent as always, “popinjay” is a cool name. :)

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead — 197 pages
This would have been a cool book but the plot was poorly executed. The writing kind of stunk, the characters were poorly developed, and the ideas were under-developed. Pretty disappointing but not mind numbing.

Freddy the Pied Piper by Walter R. Brooks — 251 pages
This one was good but not quite what the others are. The story wasn’t as interesting as the others and was sort of “unbelievable.” I was disappointed that never did find what’s-his-name’s money in Mr. Boomschmidt’s house.

    Thus Far: 3,962

(Do the pages of a learning-to-drive manual thingibob count? :P )
