So Sarah, what kind of cake is it?

MemberI am eagerly waiting to see what the two of them come up with together! And they have a website set up for the series, but it hasn’t been publicly announced yet. It’s http://www.heedtheprophecy.wordpress.com.

MemberI used to, but then I discovered the recipe made less cookies that way, and since I like to eat many cookies, I prefer to make them small so I can eat more without feeling so guilty.

MemberYes, it’s Christopher Hopper’s book, and I don’t like it much. I don’t think he writes very well, and there are literally hundreds of grammar mistakes that drive me crazy.
On top of everything else, I started The Prince and the Pauper.

MemberNope, I noticed them in the bookstore though, and thought they looked interesting.

MemberI can hardly believe my good luck recently, but we got to go to a book signing with Sir Batson and Christopher Hopper on Saturday! It was at a really cool Irish pub in PA. They did two sword-fights with hilarious banter (the second one was for the local TV cameraman). Mr. Batson did a reading from The Door Within, and Mr. Hopper sang one of his songs. Then they came around to each table to sit down and chat with their fans! They were both very friendly. They’re such awesome guys. I had a blast.
(And we got our picture put on Mr. Hopper’s blog!)

MemberI started Huck Finn the other day, but I really want to finish Rise of the Dibor, which I’ve been stuck in for months.

MemberI’ve only read the first one, and I thought it hovered on the line between allegory and story too much. It is marketed as fiction, and I think it pretty much fails miserably there, but it had some interesting points as an allegory. That’s not to say I disliked it, though.
I would like to read the rest sometime, but our library doesn’t have them, they would be hard to get on ILL, and I’m not going to spend money on them unless I get them used. So, I’ll read them eventually.
Alassiel
MemberOf course, if it’s cold, where else would they want to be?
