MemberI did exactly the same thing with Dragonfire last night. I started The Scarlet Pimpernel. For some very odd reason, I’m not in the mood for Binding of the Blade, so I’m just going to read Father of Dragons before All My Holy Mountain comes out.

MemberDon’t feel silly. It’s not doing it for me either now. Here’s a new link that should hopefully work. If not, just cut and paste it into the address bar. http://enterthedoorwithin.blogspot.com/

MemberSorry if I sounded critical. I don’t like hearing books condemned without just cause. I’d love to hear what you think!

MemberYeah, I’d like to know what you think when you’ve read more than part of the first chapter. You have to admit, you really can’t judge a book by that little.

MemberUsually I get to read new books in a series first, because I’m the one that’s paying for them. Unfortunately for me, my sister disagrees, and if I set the book down for a little while, she usually takes it. Then I have to wait until she leaves it and steal it back!

MemberI really hope they do a good job with VotDT. It’s my favorite book in the series, and I think that the imagery and descriptions are the most beautiful. I can see the Shining Sea, and Deathwater, and the Island Where Dreams Come True so clearly in my mind. I don’t want them spoiled by the movie makers. I almost don’t want to see the movie, because I am almost positive that they can’t make them as beautiful as I imagine them.

MemberI can’t believe I didn’t know about Doomwyte! I try to keep up on the Redwall news, but nothing has been posted yet on the author’s website about it. I like Redwall no matter what, creepy is okay, similar plot is okay, as long as it’s Redwall. I really hope there will be a 4th Castaways this year. Speaking of which, I need to re-read Voyage of Slaves.

MemberI’m reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” for school, and “Humorous Stories and Sketches” by Mark Twain for pleasure. (Not that I don’t enjoy reading for school too.) I started “Pride and Prejudice” a while ago, but I haven’t gotten around to finishing it. Hopefully later today I will start Beyond the Summerland again so I can finish re-reading the series before the last book comes out on June 1. Oh, and I may re-read Prince Caspian whatever day my family goes to see the movie, even though I read it two weeks ago. Wow, I didn’t realize how much reading I’m doing or planning to do in the next few days.

MemberSomewhat. I find that if I recommend a book to someone, the chances are that they will probably never read it. I have one friend who I would love to get to read some of my favorite Christian fantasy, but she re-reads LOTR every year and structures her life so well that she has little extra time to read anything I suggest.

MemberI’ll join! I saw it on Wayne Thomas Batson’s website and freaked. That’s really cool that he put a link there. I have two questions. If I start a book before June 1, and then finish it after, does that count? And does it matter if it’s a book that I’ve already read? I was planning on doing alot of re-reading this summer, and reading the Dragonkeepers books again before Dragonlight comes out.
