Yeah, Madame Defarge is very creepy. She just has a complete lack of mercy or compassion.

I remember seeing the preview for that now! It looked really dumb at the time, but I didn’t realize it was based off a book. Maybe I’ll check it out sometime.

At Home In Mitford, by Jan Karon- 446 pages

I was browsing the reviews here, and noticed there were quite a few for the Mitford books. So I got this one to try, and I liked it. Perhaps I’ll get the rest now.

    Running Total- 1,293 pages

I don’t really like to watch alot of movies based on books, because usually the movies stink. And I recently realized that a bad movie can prejudice my younger siblings against a good book- my brother refuses to read A Wrinkle in Time because the movie was so dumb.

Not the best in the Christian fantasy world, but not too bad either.

The end was spoiled for me too,(at least partially) due to the back cover description. (Death to spoilers on back covers!)

I know. Adalin is my younger sister, and she has been doing nothing but read for the last few days. I have been doing a lot of reading too, but it’s mostly been A Tale of Two Cities, which I started at the end of May. It isn’t easy reading, so it takes a while to get through.

Then I’d highly recommend browsing the reviews here. You are on a book review website! I think they’ve probably reviewed anything I might recommend off the top of my head.

That’s a good idea. I’ll have to remember that when I read to my sibs.

I’m re-reading Father of Dragons. Hopefully I can finish it before Monday, but I’m doubtful.

The problem with this game is that it is very hard to think of two book titles starting with the same letter that I have not read. I don’t really keep a running list of books I’ve never read.

I just finished. I spent a wonderful afternoon sitting next to an open window, feeling the pleasant breeze while I read. It was a very good book. Now I’m going to start A Tale of Two Cities, since I’ve never read any Dickens and it’s also set in the French Revolution.
