I only read at the table if it’s just me eating. I don’t read during supper, which is the only meal we usually have all together.

I don’t have any off the top of my head, but I’ll think about it. Are you looking for funny quotes, or will any quote do?

Just to let everyone know, you need to write reviews of Mr. Batson’s books to earn points for the Isle of Fire Treasure Hunt, so that is why there have been several people on here doing just that. Here is my Final Storm review. I was going to post it as a comment on the Incredibooks review, but then I discovered there wasn’t one! So here it is:

The Final Storm is a spectacular finish to a great trilogy. The evil Paragor has more power than ever, and things look bleak for Alleble and the followers of King Eliam. It is up to Aidan, Antoinette, and Robby, three teens from our world, to stand up for the truth, whatever it might cost them. This story is fraught with adventure, humor, danger, fear, sadness, and joy. Usually in any book, there is something I dislike. However, here I can find nothing to criticize. A must read for fantasy lovers, and even those who don’t usually like fantasy may enjoy this well-crafted story with a powerful message.

Reply to off-topic: Our library lets us take out books for 3 weeks, and movies for 3 stinking days. Of course, you can renew once or twice. Our library also has a rule about only 2 reference books per subject per family, but it’s never enforced.

I was part of the Redwall Readers Club for awhile. It’s fun to get all the cool stuff. Except sometimes they would send a package with nothing but a poster. I liked the bookmarks the best. I might rejoin again soon, with new books coming out.

A friend told me that the Freddy the Pig audio books, narrated by some guy whose name I can’t remember, are really good. I haven’t gotten around to listening to one from the library yet.

Matthew didn’t die????? Gilbert cured him!!! That sounds terrible. I’m really glad I’ve never seen that version.

Me again. :) Speaking of predictable, I am reading The First Two Lives of Lukas-Kasha to my sibs. We’re at the part where Lukas gets captured by Abadani soldiers. If you’ve read it, you’ll understand what I’m talking about. Well, I started dying laughing, because we were discussing the girl, and my sister says, “I bet she’s like the daughter of that leader dude, or maybe there is no dude at all, and she is the leader.” It was so funny because she guessed exactly right!

(Now I can just hope she doesn’t read this thread. Adalin is my sis, by the way.)

I like his books. They’re nice when I want something easy and light-hearted, but with a good story. Once you’ve read a few, they get pretty predictable, but I enjoy them anyway.

For a while I thought I had run out of good stuff to read, but then I started looking, and now I have so many books on my mental list that I think I’ll be old and gray before I finish them all.

I think Jordan meant poetry that he, as in Jordan, likes.
