I’ve only read the first one, but I loved it and wish I could find a way to get the other books without buying them new. *cringes at thought of spending that much money on two books*

I love Scottish Chiefs, by Jane Porter, but I don’t know if everyone would. It’s about William Wallace, but it’s a romanticized story, and I’ve read people complaining that he’s too perfect. I, however, don’t care, and am in love with the book anyway. It’s an older book, and pretty long, too.

The Redwall ones are pretty good, since they are read by the author, and he has the most wonderful storytelling voice! Except they use different voices for the characters, and some of them don’t work very well. Also, I stopped several sentences into Redwall, because they were using the same voice for Matthias as they used for Wilf in Castaways, and it just didn’t work as both.

Ella Enchanted was also good.

We listened to all the FOTF Narnia Radio Dramas while on car trips, and I enjoyed them, except I didn’t like Aslan’s voice. I always cringe when I hear it. To me, it’s too harsh and gravelly, more suited to a villain than to Aslan.

Oooh, that would be good!!! I’ll have to see if I can find that.

How do you like it? I think I liked Kidnapped better.

I just finished Kidnapped, but so far I think I like them about the same, though in different ways. Kidnapped was a little bit slower, but it had alot of cool Scottish stuff.

I just started Treasure Island.

For some reason, I didn’t like the Railway Children either. It just wasn’t all that interesting to me.

I like some poetry, mostly only if it tells a story. Otherwise, it doesn’t interest me much.
