MemberI loved the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth! It’s not even the plot of the book, which is nice, so you don’t really have to think about the book’s plot compared to the movie’s plot. I recommend all of Walden Media’s films.

MemberTo Billy: Of course you have a life! Reading is something you enjoy. And being a fast reader is such a blessing! I wish I could read fast. Trust me, if I could, I would probably read something 327 times over too!

MemberI almost never re-read books! I really have only re-read the Dragons in our Midst series, and The Chronicles of Narnia. And that’s about it.
Well, good luck to everyone! I know for a fact everyone will do better than me. But still, it will be fun to see how many pages I can read.

MemberOh, OK. I’m sorry you didn’t like it. I’m enjoying it now, but I guess I have a different “taste” in books.

MemberWhen it comes to Rise of the Dibor, you are right, some of it is hard to get through. But, one thing I have found helpful while I’m reading it is to not to read to much into detail. I remember I read an article about speed-reading, and it said something about, “People who are auditory readers (that’s where a voice in there head reads the book to them) literally are reading scenes in slow motion. It’s cool for the first couple of minutes, but it makes it feel as if the book it going to slow after a while.” I don’t know if that helped anyone…

I’m reading Inkspell Right now.
To Wyatt: That is one book I also need to get to during the Read-a-thon. Let me know how it is!

MemberI thought The Tale of Despereaux was a very good book, even though it is below my reading level. The end of the story ties everything together perfectly. When I was done reading it, I immediately told my sister that she needed to read it.
When The Tale of Despereaux came out as a movie, my family went to see it. It was good, but the book was (as in most cases) better.
I really recommend this book to everyone. It also makes a great read aloud book.

MemberNo, I have not heard of him… I’ll look him up… *looks him up on Amazon*

OK, I recognize the covers. So are they really good? Because if so, I’ll look into getting them. I noticed that the word “magic” is in almost every title. Just out of curiosity, does his books have spells and wizards and stuff? I try to stay away from stuff like that… I know that might sound hypercritical, after saying I liked E. Nesbit’s books. Is it about as “magical” as E. Nesbit’s books?
Thanks!

MemberI am trying to finish Rise of the Dibor so I can start reading The Lion Vrie (along with C Triebold). After that, I think I’ll try to read some E. Nesbit, who is amazing! She wrote Five Children and It.

MemberOK, thanks!

MemberHey! I have a question. I am in the middle of a book, and I was wondering: the pages I read starting now (June 1st), can they count for the Read-a-thon? Or is the Read-a-thon for only books started after June 1st?

MemberI don’t think I could keep my eyes open to read at midnight… lol
I’m new to Incredibooks, but I’m really excited about the Read-a-thon. So, yeah, I just want to let everyone know I’m joining. I can’t wait! I’m a slow reader, but it will still be fun. Can’t wait to get to know everyone here!
