    I’ve never read it…YET!

I remember my older sibling trying to tell me about Gurgi, and the best picture that she could come up with was “a little monkey-thing that speaks in rhymes”. Okaaaaay!

That book! We read aloud that book and I was so proud that Dad made it! Kinda like reading Around the World in 80 Days. Challenging at first, but then you’re a strutting know-it-all by the end of the book. :)

Hank the Cowdog series is dramatized, but I believe it stinks. Dad should make audio books of his own, now HE does WELLLLLLL!

I don’t remember anything of what I read outta the Vesper Holly series, only the description of her green eyes. It was years ago, tho’…

Amazon sometimes has used books in fairly good condition for a penny and up! I love when Mom orders ‘penny books’. Only thing is, if you order several, they’re coming from different places so they won’t all come in a nice little box.

Amazon also has free shipping wi. a purchase of $20 or something.

Started the third Mitford book, I love it! Very cozy.

I’ve read the first one…it was ok, I guess. Just not all that great. I dunno why I couldn’t get into it; maybe too much history and not enough fiction? The characters just weren’t real. Eloise Jarvis McGraw writes some GOOD h/f!

Poetry HE likes? Are you a boy, Alyosha? (Don’t worry; I’m not a hacker or anything.)

Yeah, that was a good poem! Some poetry have such bad meters, it drives me nuts!

Off-topic here: Did you actually read Les Miserables? I got 50 pages into it and was lovin’ it *smothers MacDonald’s song running through head*, but it was a library book and it got due! (Grrrr….)

Pip here again; I just finished reading a beautifully illustrated version of The Owl and the Pussycat, a poem by Edward Lear; it’s so cute! (Jan Brett did the illustrations.)
