MemberAlrighty…
Owan, we actually have some of those reviewed:
Holes and Mystery of the Roman Ransom and Detectives in Togas
Stay tuned for City of Ember. I have a review, but it’s not coming ’til August.
Jordan
MemberOh, I feel sympathy for you, Owan. I have favorites in books that we haven’t reviewed yet, but we’re only five people!

You might want to go over to the suggest section and suggest some of the books that your favorites come out of. Maybe we haven’t heard of them yet!

MemberOoh! That’s a good one! Loved it!

Disney’s just distributing and has no say in how things are made. Try Walden Media…
Actually, Disney itself owns the rights to Prydain movies. I suppose they’d be more likely to do it if they sold it to Walden, but since Walden is no longer in a Disney-specific contract, that doesn’t seem too likely.

MemberWell, it’s already been a month past, and we’d like to give people a fair warning. But maybe we can move it back a little more. We’ll think about it. Good point, Pip.
Jordan
MemberI’m not allowed to read at the table, but occasionally I will bring a book to read a passage from it in order to enlighten my dad (who has missed so many classics that the rest of my family feels sorry for him).

I wish they’d make a real whamdinger real-life movie of the Prydain Chronicles…wouldn’t that be somethin’?
Don’t get your hopes up. Disney still has the movie rights, and they may have plans to do a live action version, but I don’t think there’s much keeping them from slaughtering the books again.

MemberAttention everybody! The Read-a-Thon has a cut-off join date of August 15th. If you have not entered yet and would like to, please do so soon, because if you try to join after August 15th, we will not accept your entry. If you are already in the Read-a-Thon, you can keep recording your books read, but nobody new will be able to join.
Thanks!

MemberAt that point we’d be violating copyright laws, so we’ll just have to stick with snippets.

MemberMy goodness! If I used every Narnia quote that’s been suggested, I’d have half of each book! Looks like I have the difficult task of picking and choosing…
Jordan
MemberOoh, that’s right. Like I said, they all got erased awhile back and I couldn’t salvage too many of them. And ’cause I was used to them, I had no idea what was in there.
I’ve added a couple of yours, Alyosha. Have fun looking for them! I might do a few more later.
Jordan
MemberSure! You can start now if you’d like!
Jordan
MemberLoL!
Alyosha, when I finish reeling from the shock of the amazing response, I shall add some of those to the database.
Jordan
MemberWell, let’s see…
I get any books that I don’t already own from the library, generally through inter-library loans, ’cause I live in a tiny town with a tinier library.
My family built a large collection of books by going to book sales. I remember once we were on vacation, we saw a sign for a sale, so we stopped and bought two large boxes of books!
We used to do extremely well at the book sales in our area, returning home triumphantly with two or three big boxes of treasures and new stuff, but now we have so many books that it’s hard to find ones that we don’t already own.
Jordan
MemberYes, but they got messed up and I couldn’t salvage them. That’s why I’m asking for more!
