MemberI’m after anything that strikes you as something that should be quoted.
If you look at the four quotes in our pool right now (just reload the page a few times), you’ll notice that we have one from Anne of Green Gables that is just an interesting thought, two from Winnie-the-Pooh that are funny, and one from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe that is the beginning of Lucy’s adventure. So really, anything pretty much works. Of course, being a classic is a plus, since they are the most recognized.

MemberMost of my reading gets done on my bed, because of a long established practice that used to be nap time.

If a book is particularly good and I have the time to keep reading, I’ll carry it out to the couch and preferably stretch out on the whole thing, but with five other people in the family, that’s not often a reality.

I often bring long books on vacation so I can read them in the car. So I really don’t mind at all.
If I’m reading non-fiction Web pages, I will use my family’s iTunes library in a particularly random fashion. That means that I’ll listen to a huge variety of genres on shuffle.

MemberActually, I read a review of Journey yesterday, and it seems to be less altered than I had originally thought. It’s still not anything I’m looking forward to, but it sounds a little more worth it now.

MemberDragonLight by Donita K. Paul. 377 pages.
Great end to the series!
Running Total: 3,112 pages (For those with us last year, I think I’m doing better this time! Which is strange, since I seem to have less time to read now than I did then.)

MemberOh, I forgot about Redwall! Although that’s not for three more years, so I think I can be forgiven.

MemberIs book four the one that’s mostly letters? I’ve only read it once, but I remember liking it. How far are you into it?

MemberOh, I actually liked the ending of BC. It almost made me cry!
Yeah, the names do have some amount of nuttiness to them. I don’t notice as much because I like the old Welsh names and words, so I know some of their grammar and spelling rules.

We listened to all the FOTF Narnia Radio Dramas while on car trips, and I enjoyed them, except I didn’t like Aslan’s voice. I always cringe when I hear it. To me, it’s too harsh and gravelly, more suited to a villain than to Aslan.
I’ve only heard it on the commercials, but you’re right, he does sound too villain-y. Then again, I’m very used to Liam Neeson by now…

MemberYes, that’s what I meant. *is sorry he caused so much confusion*
