Member*grumbles* How’s one supposed to talk like a ninja? Books of that genre that come to mind, uh…The Samurai’s Tale and mebbe The Master Puppeteer; I didn’t read all of that book so mebbe it had ninjas later on!

MemberWHAT??????
Pip
MemberI ‘aven’t read any of ’em.
On a scale from one to ten, what would y’all rate them for writing and plot quality? BTW, are they allegories? Or just fantasy?
Pip
MemberHow often are you planning on posting the interviews? Every other week or what?
Who all’s planning to (God-willing!) do the Read-a-Thon next year? I, for one, plan on being a regular here, whether certain people *cocks eyebrows at those secretly loatheful of me* like it or not! So most likely I’ll have pitiful numbers here again next year.

MemberAh, Thematic Elements mean anything from a family broken down over Pa’s drinkin’ or young marriages like in Pride and Prejudice, or scary emotions, or sadness, or rebellion, or just anything that would generally upset the sensitive and kids, which pretty much covers all the meaty stuff in today’s movies.
Whoo, that was worded BADLY! Hey, it’s nearly 2:30 AM here, so I have an excuse. A poor one, but an excuse all the same. The poster looks weird.
BTW, this is sooo off-topic: for those of you wondering (and you very well might NOT be) I am changing my little quotes at the bottom of my posts every week or so, and if I can ever figure out how to change my avatar with gravatar (I’m a poet!) like I did the first time, I’ll be changing those as well. These hibiscuses are getting on me nerves!

MemberOK, tomorrow is talk like a Brit day! I’m sure we’ll have fun wi. that…
Jordan, could this thread be for “talk (or act) like a whatever”, so folks could find books set in different places? We could take turns declaring the genre.
Banished to the kitchen? Who? And why??!!

MemberI be likin’ “Mariel of Redwall”, it had sim mighty fine piratein’ goin’ on thar. (Oh, I’m awful at this!)
Mom found a site where you out type in your name and it would come up with a silly title like, I was Captain (make a note of that, captain) *real name here* Curlyeye, the scurviest soul to ever play a harmonica alongthe British Isles.” Not word-for-word, but interesting all the same. Once time I had Red Knickers and Had a Hamster.
Isle of Swords was ok, but sometimes it sounded like he was trying to write a pirate adventure and it turned out sounding fobbish. But the villain rocked and all the flogging scenes as well *evil chuckle* and the overall plot, tho’ slightly copied from PotC, was intruiging, rother.

MemberMy goodness, that was a bunch of work! I applaud you!
