Oooooh, yeah! Robby’s dad rocked. I loved his sinister-ness. Creepy!

Merewen was boring. She didn’t do anything except have a cool name! :)

Three Men in a Boat…to say nothing of the Dog (Jerome), 135 pages. This book was crazy, jumping from one strange topic to another, leaving the reader dazzled and scratching his head. But I liked it. :)

I have two friends who are both avid readers, and we share opinions and pros & cons about the books we’re reading; it’s quite nice.

Several times, I’ve had someone read a book I’ve suggested to them, and we lend books out to each other. With the exception that I hate it or the writing’s poor (I can’t STAND bad writing!), or I’m just drowning in books of my own, I read every book I’ve borrowed.

Yeah, I’d haveta say I’m a bit pushy!

Great! We can sob together. What are some parts that really stood out for you in those books, R.?

Ya think? That’s funny! I tend to stay awake jumping after every sound after I’ve watched a scary movie, but books don’t bother me.

Except The Dark is Rising books, esp. the one by the same name. That did make me want to sleep with the lights on!

What are y’all’s favorite characters? I like Robby and Aidan’s fine, the girl drives me nuts, tho’. Robby’s Glimpse is also quite nice, and Paragor is lovely and villainous.

Pip here again; Greenwitch was fine, leaving me feeling wild as a usual emotion after reading one of her books! The descriptions are vivid and loverly, the characters are neat-o, so I liked it enough to plan on getting the last two in the series from the library.

Bad things: God’s name is used questionably twice, and the Greenwitch is a ceremony for women in…Wales, I think, where they build a big “offering” to the elemental queen of the sea and after making wishes on it, cast it into the waves. The offering is portrayed as real and talks to the children, and is supposedly part of the Wild Magic, a sect different form the Light (the good guys), the Dark (the baddies) and men. If I were rating this, I’d give it four stars.

I’ve seen a pretty good movie of Great Expectations (I read a book and then watch the movie a lot) and it was very good; there’s also a little cartoon about Cricket on the Hearth. That’s a Christmas story, I think, so I can’t read it until December!

Nicolas Nickleby looks doable. Our library has a lot of Dicken’s stuffins, so I’m just gathering courage to jump in. *gasping and widening of eyes*

We mainly read books aloud and then I go back and reread it years later. That’s always nice, the sense of day-sha-voo () ya get. :)
