That’s the actual Read A Thon, which’ll be open later today, I’m supposing.

Does anyone know how much different a spider bite looks than a mosquito?

Gah! My poor deprived posts. Merci for salvaging, Jordan.

I think it’s a funny acronym. At least the letters don’t spell out BUG or something…

I’ve been badgering Momsie about taking us to the library before June starts; I’d told her about the RA-…er…Read A Thon but I don’t think she recalls why going to the library before June First isn’t simply an option. *innocent look*

The signing-up thingy did the same thing to me but I received the confirmation email before I could protest. Y’all guys are too fast.

My little sister has been gobbling the Prydain books and luvin’ ’em. *luves them as well*

Finished “The Illiad”; “Treasuring God on our Traditions” by Noel Piper; “The Pursuit of God” by A.W. Tozer; “Enchantress from the Stars” by somebody. Like the first three, skimmed over that last one cuz I ain’t a big fan of sci-fi.

    Mushrooms are hysterical.

Happy Mother’s Day to the poor mothers of these wild people who think reading during the summertime is actually enjoyable!

Sorry, I died there for a bit.

This year I’ll most assuredly participate but I won’t do it to win anything; I’m doing it to have fun this year because I have a lot of summer school and writing to do, as well as possible library work. But zee R.A.T. [and is it RAT or R.A.T.?] was great last year, so…

    WAHOOEY!

If they’re anything like the fifth book in the Kingdom Series, I’d read ’em.

Muahaha, I like the million dollar idea for each member…and then an additional two million for the winner, and one million for the ten closest behind the winner! *grins*

You might consider keeping the signing-up time for the RAT [*giggles*] open only for a month into the thing; not to be hostile or anything but we had problems with keeping it open all throughout the RAT last year, if you’ll recall. Besides, this is supposed to be for fun, not for the competition per se. *glares around the room* Am I right? I said, am I right?!

Any news on whether or not T-shurts would be a good idea? [For the record, I vote gray!]

Will we be counting pages like last year?

When in doubt, splurge. Words to live by, folks, and ignore the dentist.

I went on a burst of reading frenziedness and finished several including “The Moonspinners” [bleeegh], “Green Angel” [most glorious!!!] and “To Kill a Mockingbird”, which was surprisingly good; I thought I’d hate it but it ended up on my favourites shelf.

For school it’s “The Illiad”, “The Jesus I Never Knew” [I’ll be finishing that this month] and some other stuffeth.

*luved “Half Magic”* That’s interesting, doing a book adaption for SF; I’m doing SF but didn’t think of a book adaption. Kewl.
