I remember starting The Door Within late one night, and crying, laughing and gasping through half of it. I would have read the whole thing, but my eyes were tired. I Of course, I devoured the rest of it the second day! It’s on my favorites bookshelf now. That’s the best one, then The Final Storm, and then the cheesy middle one.

Ordered Isle of Swords from the library…”4-6 weeks for the books to get here”??!!!!

The Second Thief’s about this atheist who gets a glimpse into what his life will be like if he does not accept God’s mercy. It’s got a neat ending. It’s written in present tense, which sometimes makes it confusing, but I thought it gave it more depth.

Anyone been able to get their paws on “Brisingr” by C. Paolini yet? I saw it in a bookstore.

    Who’s before him?

I used to be obsessed with Lloyd Alexander, but looking back on the Prydain Chroncicles, they were rather moody in most parts.

If nobody’s read The Second Thief, find it or get or do something to acquire a copy!!!! :)

The Wand in the Word: Conversations with Writers of Fantasy (Marcus), 197 pages

The Second Thief (Thrasher), 292 pages. One of the best books I’ve ever read! I started bawling at the end and couldn’t stop. Very beautiful.

    I guess so…

Is that little reader thing that looks like a Blackberry worth all the money? :( I kinda like having books on my shelves.

I liked pronouncing it Shaques, like a French guy; it was fun to say! Think I might just stick with that.

    How is it?

I once tried to watch a version (a cheesy version, mind you!) of ACC, and E. Scrooge kept cursing! It didn’t even sound right; it was just frivolous, for the sake of profanity.

A book I’m halfway through called Lord Foul’s bane is like that; the main chracter can’t think or talk without some four-letter word!
