    Good grief, I loved Thr3e!

I finished Outcast and I’m gonna start reading Treasure Island to Momsie on Monday. Dad’s started reading aloud The Four Story Mistake, which is very pleasant!

How did you like The Book of Three the second time over, Alassiel?

Aw, I LOVED Mr. Kitty! Whenever he’d scuttle across the floor my two little sisters and I’d all go “OH MAN, HE’S SO CUTE!”

Haha, like your avvie, wyatt!!! Welcome to the book discussion forum!

Right now I am private messaging with another girl on another site, thinking about the next installation of a book discussion on my blog for the book “Do Hard Things”, and planning to stay up til an unholy hour because IT’S FRIDAAAAAY!

Waaahooo, Sarah, coolness! (That is one of my new favorite words, thanks, Alyosha!)

    Ooooh, what are their names?!

The weather here has been windy and dark. Creepy. Bright stars.

I have become considerably lankier, crazier and more random since the last time I posted here, see the writer’s thread for my return-most-triumphant. I think forced writing does indeed turn people’s heads somewhat.

What is it about teens that they think just because their “older” means they can’t sleep with stuffed toys??? I am not accusing anyone here if you don’t, I’m just saying don’t be ashamed to. I have several very special toys sitting grinning at the foot of my bed.

    We’ve started posting again!

Eh, what are people’s opinions here about CCM and/or live online chatting?

iTouches and iPhones??? Gee whiz, I am NOT a technically minded person. My blog was a big breakthrough!

Alas, for the time I’ve been gone (see the writer’s thread) I haven’t read very much…let’s see…Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision was a book giveaway prize I won, and it was pleasant and funny. The fifth Kingdom Series book ROCKETH, much better than it predecessors. The fifth Mitford book was good, Dragon Slippers was rather corny but rather cute at the same time…and I think that’s it. I started Outcast by Rosemary Sutcliff and I LOVE it sofar.

Christmas Eve we caroled to our neighbor, had a snacky supper and watched “It’s a Wonderful Life”, which we do every year. ;-) My two little sisters and I stayed up til five in the morning watching movies, reading books aloud, giggling over inside jokes and generally having a wonderful time! Then they finally went to sleep in pallets in my room, and we all groggily got up two hours later. (I think I break the record at having been the only person alive at four on Christmas morning taking a shower…) We stampeded downstairs and mayhem erupted!!! We were very blessed this year and Mom and Dad shocked us into incredulous silence by actually getting a Wii machine. It’s great fun to watch my little sisters nearly get hit in the face by Dad when he’s “playing tennis”, haha. Amongst the doodads and goodies most glorious I got come books (YAY!), a CD I’ve been eyeing with eagerness and…get this…an MP3 player! I was totally shocked, I still haven’t taken it out of the package! *sobs* Anyone know how to maneuver one of those things?! I call it my Blackberry, it’s really cute. We went to a friend’s house for supper, which was weird because we hardly ever go anywhere for Christmas, we drove around listening to the Christmas carols on the radio, and I stayed up late eating ham, listening to new CDs and immersed in a book. Ah, glorious, most glorious!!!

    *dances around* I SAW IT!!!…finally.

I hadn’t read the book inna long while, but by itself it was a good movie. Minus several confusing parts, hideous costumes near the end and…*ahem*…THAT PART, it was a verra good movie. I think I like LWW better, just because it’s special and all three of mah sisters and I watched it all together, but PC was assuredly a good movie.

How did you loik it, Sarah?

    How glorious! I wanna attic…

I recently took part inna drive-through Nativity! Basically we got dressed up like Biblical folkses, stood beside some props for thirty minutes while cars drove through, then went inside for thirty minutes to warm up and feast. We did all that three times and then once more the next day. It wus COLD but fun! I’m surprised we didn’t all get the flu, going out into the frosty air and then back into the toasty church gymnasium. Yet it is a good ministry, several people handed out tracts, so it was something new we all enjoyed.

Oooh, Kyle, we read that book aloud (Mom did all the accents) and we LOVED IT!!!

*pauses* Oh, well, naturally he’d haveta be alive to write the book. *HEADESK* Shoulda hadda V8!

I am STILL inna lull. This is driving me nuts! I am finishing the fourth Mitford book if it kills me!

It’s raining. 8O The statement in and of itself is self-explanatory!

Busy with Christmas? Eh, somewhat. There’s the usual card-sending bonanza that always drives me nuts, the book to write, Algebra 2 to scratch my head over, a nutty puppy that has learned the secret of flying into our faces whenever we sit down on the couch, a drive-through Nativity to take part in, a friend to bother here and there, the funeral of some friend’s relative, and a recent family tragedy that threw us all off line. :|

HA! It’s amazing if we git a DUSTING. The weatherguy says “Well, there’s a fifty-percent chance of snow tomorrow evening” and we all look at each other incredulously.

The Poe’s wife thing: I told you, Alyosha, that you would look like Poe’s wife at the end of yer NaNo thing. It grew on from there and when I told you bout the stayin’ up late, we launched a contest. Of sorts. I won there for a few days; didn’t take any pictures but Oi wus SCARY! Infrequent depression attack. But when they do hit, they HIT.

For those of you who don’t know, I am writing mah Advent novel in NaNo form and with NaNo expectations. See the writer thread.

Anyone celebrate Hannukah? We aren’t Jewish but we fry up a buncha latkas and watch Fidddler on the Roof.

Mom had a good idea of opening one present fer twelve days, according to the song, but the Girls booed it!

True to mah word, we put up our (fake, because once mah older sister was playing under a real tree and looked up…right into a baby-spider’s nest!) tree and ate those turkey-and-cranberry sauce-and-Miracle-Whip doodads.

Ah, you have an attic, Sarah???

*remains silent lest she scream over Reepicheep*

I now, at this point, have NO idea what Netflix is doing; they did NOT send out the DVD the day it came out, and I haven’t been on our list since, so sob sob for me.

GOOD GRIEF! They cut out an archery scene to throw in That Which We Do Not Speak Of But Only Reference To???? *is fuming mad*
