    Let me see, favorite classics…

Not Moby Dick. Skip that one. :-P

    A Christmas Carol is good.

    Treasure Island.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. (Any, though as with all serials, there are better ones and worse ones. Plus, some of them have some 19th century drug abuse, so be careful.)

Nothing else comes to mind right now. I’ll browse my shelves later and come back. :-)

One of my favorite things about Edward Eager is that he always manages to work in something from one of his other books. For example, the girl from the end of Half-Magic appears in one of the adventures in Seven-Day Magic. He did that sort of thing all the time!

I did Math-U-See from Algebra 2 onwards, and it really taught me how to do math. Although, having a knack for it, and having a mother who’s a math whiz is helpful, too. ;-)

It was pretty good. But, I was so surprised… It didn’t end abruptly! :o

    Oh, no, Alyosha…

Eager is not a Nesbit knock-off, for the very reason that his characters have all read Nesbit (and most of his books! :D), so they wish that they could have Nesbit-like adventures. He’s always careful to acknowledge that his “mentor” was Nesbit, by always having her books presented clearly in the story. Plus, the Eager adventures tend to be both a bit more crazy, and a bit more modern.

You’d be surprised, Pip… I think you’ll get a bit more turn-out than you expect. I’ve read all the ones that Ben has (he’s my bro, y’know), and I know that a few other people around here have read them.

Actually, Seven Day Magic was one of my BookMooch books! I haven’t re-read it yet, too much new stuff floating around, plus school work.

*runs behind the solid object that Pip is hiding behind*

I don’t pronounce it that way. I say “No-ter dom”.

    *un-hides*

Congrats on getting the real thing. How is it?

I’m not sure. I haven’t had anybody get books from me lately, but I also don’t have many in my inventory. I’ll probably add more the next time my mom weeds the shelves. Besides, I haven’t read all of the books that I’ve mooched yet!

On Book Mooch, you list your books, and you get a 1/10 of a point for each book. So they suggest that you list ten books, and then use a point to get a book. Basically, you search their database and request the books you want, within how many points you have.

    Look out, though…

I listed about twenty books, and within hours I had been mooched from eight times!

We’re reading about the Revolutionary War. No idea what’s coming up!
