MemberOK, go ahead and suffer, Owan! We will look forward to your agonized screams.
Ugh, The Thief Lord was bad too! I’m sorry, but Inkheart was the only good book she actually wrote!
I believe the movie’s comin’ out May 2009…*grr*
Pip
MemberOh, dear…
One of my close friends is Aragorn and a younger sib is Legolas. My other younger sib is Arwen, which was funny because Arwen was her character! (The one that she claimed to ‘be’.)
Pip
MemberYeah, that’s about what I say following that remark to me.
Did anyone actually like Paragor?
Pip
MemberDON’T!
Dragon Rider stank, BTW.
Pip
MemberI know whatcha mean about soupy teenage books, they git on me nerves! Just the sight o’ ’em!
Never heard of Twilight. What’s it about?
SIDENOTE: No one should be afraid to ask opinions on books even if they look soupy or sinister, because we’re all here to give each other input and build each other up in the name of the Lord.

MemberOh I know! Ooh, I saw a picture of all the characters in the movie: Mo is hideous and I don’t mind sayin’ so; Meg is OK; Elinor…weeeellll, she’s ok I guess, not quite how I pictured her. The little Indian boy is weird but I disliked him anyway and I’m hopefully anticipating the guy who plays Dustfinger because sofar, he looks alright. (Now if he’s short and squat I am going to march outta that theater!)
Pip
MemberHehehehe, I read books aloud to me sibs and haveta edit double, because one can’t stand blood!
Pip
MemberY’all are weird!
Pip
MemberNightbirds on Nantucket, by the lady who wrote The Wolves of Willoughby Chase…Joan Aiken. It was actually verra good!
Has anyone ever read Tahn? I just finished it and it was very good! (The best part is when he gits tortured…)
Pip
MemberYes. Actually, I remember starting Inkeart on a quiet, breezy night and then being apprehensive about going to bed. I also took it with me to take a shower, and never did because I got so wrapped up in reading. I loved Dustfinger, however, and nearly threw Inkspell across the room when she decided to kill him off. Until the next book, but still! The only other person worth liking was maybe Basta…I have a friend who really likes him. I dunno. Reminds me of pasta. *snickers*
Pip
Member*hearty laughter* Oh boy…well, he’s a nice dude; I know one guy who was Boromir! I’m sorry, but that’s just awful. (To me, anyway)
Pip
MemberOh, well, that’s almost the same!
Pip
MemberLOL!!!! Yeah, I liked The Hobbit; I remember starting it the night Dad got the job that led us to where we now live, and another time when I read some of it in a tree!
Pip
MemberWay 2 go, Owan!
Pip
MemberPip here again; speaking of movies vs. books, what about plays vs. books? I’m in a play (a musical) of Little Women, and I must say that the book is a lot better! (Although it doesn’t have the “Boy at Dance”, which is ME! And yeah, I play a boy; I’ve got a voice leaning on the deep end and an even deeper singing voice.)
I found out a few months ago that Captain Blood is based on a book, and that’s one of my fave movies!!
