It’s a theater where the tickets (used to) cost a dollar. They get the films after the first-run theaters are done making money on them. Cheaper, dirtier, smaller screen, but the theater experience for a buck (matinee).

Yes, there is a new movie coming in 2011, I believe. Check out TheOneRing for up to date news.

Yes, I know. I was wished a happy birthday by quite a few people in a different thread, so this thread exists because of that.

Oh, that’s good to hear. The media certainly punished it for being a good story, didn’t they? As much as I’d love to see it right now, I’m probably going to hold out until it hits the dollar theater. The way the movie is doing right now, I don’t expect that to take too long…

I write on a computer. No ink stains to be poetic or annoying. (look out, you are in danger of posting something ONTOPIC!!!)

Some of the best history resources I’ve ever seen are Genevieve Foster’s “World” series. Very old, she can sometimes be theologically skewed, but it’s lovely to be able to hear about what everybody in history was doing while the others were doing something else. https://incredibooks.com/2006/02/22/george-washingtons-world/

Well, the tour ended today, so we’ll be sure to contact her again if we don’t hear from her really soon.

Good idea! I know that for the Fantasy Fiction Tour, they were posting requests every week. Maybe they’ll keep it up, or at least start again for the next tour.

Alrighty, see if this helps, Pip.

Up top in the pull-down menus of Internet Explorer (File, Edit, Tools etc.),

    click Tools, then

    ‘Internet Options’

This brings up a dialog with 6 tabs across the top (General, Security,

    Content, etc.)

Click ‘General;, the look for ‘Temporary Internet Files’

Click ‘Delete Files’, then (if it appears, check off ‘Delete all offline

    content’;, then click ‘OK’.

Click ‘OK’ again and this should clear all cached pages.

Hey, I don’t know what I’m doing in this thread, ’cause I haven’t read Inkheart… yet. Today I found the movie trailer, and I have it on hold at the library right now.

Oh yes, the trailer. Here ya go: http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/inkheart/

He’s done some darker stuff before, and I really think that he hits his stride when he’s being a bit more spooky. Castaways of the Flying Dutchman is certainly my favorite of maybe all of his books.

I’m on a Mac over here, so I really don’t know what to do for Windows. The F5 thing was recommended by Microsoft on a support question.
